First attempt at ship building C&C more than welcome.

Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

An excellent use of those section 12s. I couldn't have done any better myself. Considering that my first ship was before I discovered mirroring, I would say that this is a good job.

I decided to call it quits on the small corvette and upscale to something much bigger.

There will be WIP pics up in a short while.

Good never keep doing the same ship for too long, will make shipbuilding boring.(it did in my case.)

Those wing things, are really repetitive. But I think it looks interesting, but the plain green isn't attractive to me.

Any suggestions on how to break it up some spikes coming off the rear of the wings perhaps.

I'm no expert, but I would try different piece combos. Or cut the wings off and bring them in more narrow and closer to the body.

I would actually flip the entire ship around(back to front) It would look like some sort of crossbow.
Otherwise I just hate those wings, to repedative and they don't fit the more square shape of the ship.

So a scrap those wings
b flip that ship!

I'd rather round off the body than delete the wings entirely, they took a fair while to put together i've added a little more but i'll see what I can do.

Another question, is there a reason why you can't rotate demeter pods?

That's odd. They rotate just fine on my end.

Also, there's a mess of layering errors all along the centerline.

Thanks for spotting that, it must have happened when I mirrored the craft during the colour change.

I think this is a case of too much too fast. Those first two ships are great offerings for a beginning. Simply sublime, particularly compared to some of the other stuff I've seen around here. However, that big ship... it's really not on the same level. There are some interesting pieces, but there are large areas that are very very dull. The wings and the main core of the ship are, simply put, bad. I highly, highly recommend cutting back and trying middle steps before diving headfirst into large ships. Take it from a guy who's tried to make a similar jump and rejected the results.
seriously Anna. seriously oh my gawd seriously.

As I said the front of the big ship is the only part that is interesting.
The wings just don't fit, and or so repedative it just isn't the same style.

If I where you I would make one ship out of the back and another out of the front.(The back is more alien like, while the front is much more industrial looking.)

I might start a new ship soon. But I don't intend to give up on this one though even If it just gets put on hold for a while.

I agree the wings are repetetive but I couldn't come up with another way to make the curve I wanted without using those pieces.
