Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!
The parenting looks kinda bad I think, but this version is easiest to edit, all the dome cores are linked seperatly to the central core, also the patern in the central dome is linked this way because otherwise the layers got all messed up. There may be some other errors because I didnt really check it.
well anyway here is a new experiment of mine to try and build a 3d ship, I don't really like the result of the ribs but it was a fun experiment and might inspire other people to make 3d ships
I don't think it will be easy to make a 3d ship considering that BF is 2d

Hmm, good attempt, but some of the angles are wrong. For a good 3d effect, the back and front of the ship should not be perpendicular to the sides of the ship
Nice experiment (messy as hell though), parts of it look great, others, not so much. What might make it look more 3d is changing the colour depending on the level of the pieces (eg. higher pieces are lighter, lower pieces are darker, etc.). I don't know how well it would work though.
