Unveiling the Quake Class Battleship (first page)

Admittedly the design isn't exactly graceful or flashy but that is sort of the point. Thaumaturge wanted to cut costs wherever they could and that means using the same components a lot and keeping them simple.

I would say the front is easy enough to pick out though because it has a forked bow and the engineering section is filled in. Also the command decks above the crew habitation decks are arrow shaped giving a clear indication of which way is forward. Of course from a game dynamics standpoint that doesn't mean anything. I could make a "backwards" facing one if I wanted but you get the idea.
I get what you mean though the shape between the front and back is similar but I thought that there was enough of a distinction. At least there is enough to satisfy my own sensibilities.

yes...but can i get spinners on it?Strideo wrote: They mass produce the basic hull and then everything else featured in the other models can be attached to the basic hull either at the Thaumaturge I.T.G. shipyards or maybe the purchaser could even buy an upgrade kit later on to upgrade their Avalanche I into a higher model. :3
I liked the rugged design. Whoever said it looks almost like a orbital defense platform more than a ship was right but looks very reliable
Thanks!jwa8402 wrote:yes...but can i get spinners on it?Strideo wrote: They mass produce the basic hull and then everything else featured in the other models can be attached to the basic hull either at the Thaumaturge I.T.G. shipyards or maybe the purchaser could even buy an upgrade kit later on to upgrade their Avalanche I into a higher model. :3

I'd put a big wing on the back and install some chrome covers on the gas and brake pedals.

First page updated with Thaumaturge I.T.G.'s latest offering!

I didn't really mean for the Quake to be a ship with modular add ons but here is a picture of one with a different weapons load out.derekiv wrote:I want to see some different module editions of the latest ship.

This one is equipped to better get around aegis shielding and such.
I'm thinking the next modular ship Thaumaturge I.T.G. will come out with will be smaller than the Avalanche series.

I guess so. It's size does make it easier to cover more of the ship's flank with deflectors too though. That section does have a slight HP boost too but nothing wild.Bad Boy wrote:I like the booster colour, it's looks really good to me but won't that section be quite easy to blow off? I mean it's big, it has nothing in front of it, and it's an automatic target for human players because it's being boosted and thus is likely to dish out the greatest damage.
Another good reason to target that area is because it parents a deflector module and it parents the wing structure behind it with that PD turret on it.

Ya, that's another problem . How much hp does that section have? What you could do if you didn't want to up it's hp too much is clone it (parent the clone to the boostered section), move the section with the weapons a bit back, then set the cloned piece at whatever depth the boostered piece is at, and put it where the boostered piece was originally. That way, you won't change the design, but the piece will have more armour.
By hiding the the parent piece underneath? That is an interesting idea. I hadn't thought of that.Bad Boy wrote:Ya, that's another problem . How much hp does that section have?
