Your right, thats because at the time it was made, and even till today, the Velvet Hammer is unique. And it always will be.
The HOD2 however is IVL reverse engineered new Aralonian tech, put on a IVL chassis, and mixed with pre-existing IVl weaponry. It's unique in design in a way, but not in style or purpose.
