Admiral Norien Elson, MCH-09, Project 528
Length: 1694m
Beam: 502m
Height: 248m
Block Coefficient*: 0.428
(Block coefficient is the approximate volume of a box drawn around the ship that the ship would take up - this means that the ship takes up 42.8% of the volume of a 1694 x 502 x 248 meter box)
Mass: approximately 704 055 954 tonnes
Propulsion: 1 high-yield ion/plasma torch exhausts (20 megatonnes thrust), 4 high-yield ion/plasma torch exhausts (3580 kilotons thrust per), gravitics (5550 kilotons thrust forward, used for maneuvering)
Speed: 12 km/s metered for maneuvering purposes
Complement: 3650 officers and men
Armour:
2550cm main bulkheads, 4500cm main belt, 5500cm secondary belt, 6500cm citadel, 24 shield projectors
Equipment:
14x repair drone launcher
Armament:
5x 70GW lithium-ion beam cannon array
10x 5GW continuous-wave lithium-ion beam cannon
4x 20GW continuous-wave lthium-ion beam cannon
4x Hydra Mk.4A Orbital Defence System point defence beam
40x 500MW particle cannon
18x 550mm railcannon
20x 20-tube nuclear warhead launcher, unguided
Building on the previous Nelson design, the Elson emphasised armour over any other concern, possessing over 6 meters worth of belt thickness, made out of alternating layers of concrete/reinforced steel, basic steel, titanium alloys, and even diamond weave plating in some sections of hull. The internal structure also changed, guarding against heavy weaknesses in the hull structure by providing a much stronger central keel to the ship to prevent catastrophic failures of hull.
Weapons were increased in amount and also lowered in diversity, to allow much more streamlined replenishment. The addition of a new common weapon system on Aralonian vessels, the nuclear warhead launcher, allowed bombardment capability of the Elson-class to be literally several times greater than that on the previous Hood- and Nelson-class vessels. Consequently, to defend against itself, the Elson used the Hydra Mk.4A Orbital Defence Laser-based system, firing eight point defence beams per second at a range of 1300 kilometers (650 range in game).
All other systems are essentially uprated or streamlined versions of those previously appearing on the Pr.493 Nelson.
