-B variant of the Bismarck class is for frontal attacks and more of an 'assault' than 'lineship' configuration.

-C variant is an escort class, with lots of shorter range weaponry to take down stragglers.

-D variant is a missile-armed class with craploads of saturation-fire nuclear warheads and the like.

thread locked, no war

edit: Do your standard fleet come with carriers? their demeter modules reloads kinda fast. And what's the ratio of standard ships vs refit ships?

more edit: I think for the broadside version of your ships, maybe spread the deflectors out in centerline rather than all at the back. Sometimes the rear end get bombed and you lose all the shields.

Standard fleets do not operate with carriers because they're still considered as experimental weapons. (shot down too easily) And I'm going to fix that in the final updates.

Broadside vessels are designed to have that deficiency.

...Is it really that clouded?

The reason I use 'Bismarck' EVERYWHERE is to designate the type of ship the named vessel is. It's a CLASS NAME. Would you be calling me obsessed with an amazing destroyer captain if I named my ships

Hopper (Burke-I)
Ross (Burke-I)
Mahan (Burke-II)
Decatur (Burke-II)
[skip a few]
Porter (Burke-II)
Oscar Austin (Burke-IIA 5"/L54)
Roosevelt (Burke-IIA 5"/L54)
Winston S. Churchill (Burke-IIA 5"/L62)
Lassen (Burke-IIA 5"/L62)

despite the fact the the german battle ship bismark in WWII was the coolest battleship, you shouldn't keep repeating it

Perhaps you should read a post a little way up. But here it is again for clarity;

My 'originality' is present in the individual naming of each ship in the fleet of that class, even organised so that each individual fleet subsection is named to an entire nationality of former naval hero.

Yeah. Right. Need more originality.

Also, if you'd payed attention, you could see that it's a class name, like Arcalane said.

It's called 'reading comprehension'.
