I'm changing my opinion, vidboi's right, put store fats above photosynthesis and algae net. If we can get algae net and/or photosynthesis as well that works too though.

And yes jwa, it says we're good people who are doing right be destroying an alien experiment. More importantly it says that we're wonderfully bloodthirsty genocidal maniacs who will stop at nothing to get more dna.

You continue your genocidal activities, shooting every squidy you see. You even shoot into the herds of dynamites drifting around, but only because there were a couple squidies hiding in the herds, hoping that the potential for disaster would deter you.
But, no! You are a genocidal killing machine! You even manage to shoot one just before it got away. And your duplicate is equally destructive, using it's explosions to knock rocks off the roof, to fall and strike more squidies than he can hit with a spike alone.

Finally, there are no more squidies left in the cavern. You then start feasting on their flesh, eating the ones that have sat long enough to have drained off their purple enzymic toxins first (3+5+4+3+3+4+5=27 DNA), and wind up over-eating. You then try to split, and evolve, but find that, despite the large amount you've eaten, you can't yet. However, you do end up ejecting enough mass to not have to worry about having overeaten.

Now there's just the dynamites and the lighthouse left in the cavern, and of course the plants.

lighthouse is not going to be happy, run before he does something.
I think the induction of "LOL" "OMG" and "<3" into the Oxford English Dictionary is a sign of the End Times. Only, instead of a rider on a pale horse, it'll be a gibberish-spewing spastic in a monster truck named "The Dildozer".

lets see what a chainreaction off explosions does to the cave (kill some/all dynamites)

we should stay away from the lighthouse but observe it and see how it reacts. if it attacks us fire at it and try to avoid it attacking us head on. try and stay behind it to try and avoid any light based attacks it might have

if we can evolve i suggest the following:
infrared vision (12 dna)
store fats (10 dna)
improved elctricity (4 dna)
tinted eyes (4 dna)
regenerative (3 dna)
2x flangellae (8 dna)

totalling 41 dna, +2 perception, +4 stomach (increase to 11 from 7), stun defence, +2 light defence, +1 hp per turn, +2 speed

Perhaps some way of luring the dynamite creatures to the lighthouse prior to shooting our spikes would be preferable in the case that it does not attack immediately. Maybe ripping up the roots with our mouths and depositing them near or even on the lighthouse, draw a few clumps of the dynamites to it and then attack with explosive spines from a distance.

If it does attack immediately, perhaps pushing ourselves into the roots or hiding behind our duplicate to avoid any light-based attacks, and then running about shooting spines as per people's suggestions.

Evolution ideas are much the same as vidboi's, except replacing the flangellae with two sets of increased mass, since I think that the next major aim should be to try and evolve a brain, which may well require a larger amount of mass. I'm not too sure on this though, and the flangellae would be extremely useful in anycase.

Going with this, I'm not sure if delta's suggestion for luring the dynamites would work though it might be worth a shot if the lighthouse does nothing.

You go on killing. You feel a twinge of guilt, but you fire off several spikes at the remaining life in the cavern. Since that equates to the dynamites and the lighthouse, the explosions are much larger than before. Finally, the lighthouse takes notice of your presence. It turns directly at you, and opens it's jaws wide. There are a few sparks of light, and then a very bright flash.
You tried to hide behind your duplicate, but you weren't fast enough. You feel shots of pain from the light piercing through your eyes, but manage to recover. When you can see again, though, your vision is filled with the close-up sight of the lighthouse's leaf like teeth, which appear to have a structure giving them equal strength to those made of anything else, rather than the strength of leaves, but are not a sight you want to get any closer to.
You swim away, firing several spikes at the lighthouse as you go, but only hitting with one, which doesn't really kill it as well as you wanted.
You also breifly contemplate splitting, but you're too busy at the moment to try.

we should try and outmanouever it like we did with the goliath, and then attack it from behind first with spikes and then with our horn and teeth. if that's not possible and it is able to face us constantly keep at a distance and use our spikes, aiming at the light and inside the mouth

Thirded, sounds like fun.
Kittenpillar, don't worry about it, the hero always wins :P and no heroics are complete without a good share of explosions (genocide tends to be a bit more hit and miss so I think we can kinda gloss over it if no one else minds).
