Re: The Spore Game -- Species B
Keep chomping away. The goal is to get inside his guts and finish him from there.
Re: The Spore Game -- Species B
apparently we can =DYou have developed some feathery feelers positioned right above your eyes, looking like antenna to all the world. They let you feel movement easier, though, and taste around you, instead of just what's in your mouth.
also, the length that we bite is only a small portion of the entire length, meaning the chrage is much reduced

(It's getting harder to decipher who voted for what
)
You keep chewing, managing to burrow into it (4 DNA). The static charges from it's fur rubbing up against it's shell start flowing through it's injury. However, because even when it's injured, you are less resistant, you get a shocking. While not as painful as, say, getting bitten may have been, you still take damage from it. And the large cell just absorbs the charge as if it didn't even hurt him!
Now inside the beast, you start feeling the effects of his enzymes. Apparently that organ that the exploding cells are in not only protect this guy from their explosions, but protect them from getting digested!
you have 5 hp
you have 4 stomach
you have 8 DNA

Our teeth aren't conductive though. Unless were punky with silver teeth.
Punky funky kittenpillar yay!

Okay, now burrow into the "stomach" he's holding the exploders in, let's call em Dynamites, munching any organs it looks like this creep needs on the way there. Heh heh.
Re: The Spore Game -- Species B
how come our thick membrane stops our enzymes effecting other creatures yet let's other enzymes effect us? =/ also, now we're in, we need to go deeper >.> seconding thirdemperor's suggestion
also, about the electric eels, i did some more research and found out they act more like capacitors than batteries, so they just ground themselves upon contact with something =/

You're INSIDE it's membrane. It's eating away at your membrane.vidboi wrote:how come our thick membrane stops our enzymes effecting other creatures yet let's other enzymes effect us?

Your enzymes don't effect them because they have to go through your membrane, and your enzymes don't hurt you. Theirs, when they attack you, affect you because their affecting your membrane, not your insides.

fair enough then, let's get nomming on some vital organs. also, can we do an aliens style popping out it's stomach? :3

Re: The Spore Game -- Species B
You keep borrowing into the giant cell. You've managed to get deep enough into it that the tunnel is closing behind you as you chew (5 DNA). you did get a bit more of a shocking first, and you've taken some damage from being digested, but you are no longer in the path of least resistance, meaning you are no longer being shocked.
Reaching the 'stomach' organ in which the 'Dynamite's (+1 DNA) are being held, you burst through the membrane into the organ, swim right across, and out again. Enough Dynamites see an opportunity to escape that they pack in right behind you, keeping the tunnel from closing behind you. You then burst through it's outer membrane, showering gore from it's belly.
And right behind you are streams of Dynamites, some of them looking pretty weakened from lack of food, and swimming through the enzymes of the huge cell.
Some of them then turn right around once the escape, and ram into the big cell, rupturing their own membranes and letting explosions rip across the skin of the big cell, killing it. They then all turn to eating the vines again, leaving the corpse of the massive cell, and what remains of the banker, which isn't much, to you.
you have 3 hp
you have 2 stomach
you have 14 DNA, and can split/evolve

regenarative and expansive muscle=launcher spines 12DNA.
then we will go through the vine wall, see what's in there.

Re: The Spore Game -- Species B
Kay. As we probably can't eat the whole Goliath, eat the tastiest bits for maxed DNA gain and hopefully a GDNA, then evolve the following
Fur- 6 DNA
Static Fur- 4 DNA
Nematocyst- 8 DNA
If we did get a GDNA, instead evolve the following:
Saber Teeth- 1 GDNA, 7 DNA
Fur- 6 DNA
Static Fur- 4 DNA
And either way, we should think about getting Specialized Enzymes of some sort, maybe Carnivore or Herbivore.

Re: The Spore Game -- Species B
seconding kittenpillar's suggestion, and how much more would it cost to be able to launch spines?
but, before evolving, eat as much as possible. finish the banker then start the best bits of the goliath. if we become full, try and expel some mass then eat more. if we have enough dna, get explosive containment as well as spine launchers and save up to allow us to make explosives, then nap for a bit to regain health. after that we can see if we can get through the vine wall

Seconding vidboi's suggestion. Make sure to get as much of the goliath as possible, we don't want to waste such a bountiful feast.
Re: The Spore Game -- Species B
also, in addition to what i've already said, i think we should stay omnivorous for good. although it could mean a reduced dna gain, so far it's been beneficial for us to be able to eat both plants and animals, and if needs be we can resort to rocks. seing as we have a high consumption and use 2 stomach/turn, we need to be able to eat quite a lot

Re: The Spore Game -- Species B
(hmm. kittenpillar/vidboi/badboy, vs third. then kittenpillar vs vidboi/badboi. tallying...)
You eat the small remains of the banker (2 DNA). There wasn't even enough left for a good sized mouthful, but you finish it off.
You then turn to the Goliath (+1 DNA), and start to chow down. You've already tasted it, from the inside, and so know that it tastes rather sweet, but is pretty fibrous. After filling up on it (15 DNA), there's still a portion of it left. You eject some spent nutrients, and then finish off the Goliath (6 DNA).
You then take a nap, trying to heal up you wounds. Once you wake up, you feel ready to split. You do, scrambling your DNA again.
When you finally regain control of yourself, you realize that your spikes have become loose. They seem to be attached to some knots of muscle material, which appears to be able to push outwards. Fast. Experimentally, you test out these muscles, and are pleasantly surprised to see the spike attached flying off into the vine-wall, and making a small hole. And it's even nicer to realize that it starts to grow back almost immediately.
As well, you've got this empty sac, with some sort of super-strong membrane, in your belly. It could probably hold back explosions, if you could get some explosives to fill it with.
you have 7 hp
you have 6 stomach
you have 16 DNA
