Let's face it, the main attraction of BSF is building your own ships. Share them! If you need help, check the Shipmaker Info & Help forum a little ways down.
with all the parenting lines on we can't really see what's going on. it helps to go into preview mode by pressing F11 and then taking a screenshot, which'll show the ship as it appears in game. ok you've corrected that, but pressing F11 still helps
looking at the ship, it just looks very clettered, and it doesn't really have any redeeming features. sorry to burst your balloon, but i think you should start working on smaller designs focusing on the both the overall shape, consistency and how the individual sections fit together before you build something thios big again, as without the experience it'll just end up looking like a mess. good luck, and i hope you stay around and develop your shipbuilding skills! =D
I think the induction of "LOL" "OMG" and "<3" into the Oxford English Dictionary is a sign of the End Times. Only, instead of a rider on a pale horse, it'll be a gibberish-spewing spastic in a monster truck named "The Dildozer".

thank you for the constructive criticism i was browsing around on the forums and saw a couple of threads where section spam was used and i tried to avoid that but here is a smaller ship i made as an escort or a fighter but i think its too big
yeah, that's pretty big for a fighter. i think the problem is you're mainly if not wholly using the kae_mecha sections, which tend to look cluttered if not used perfectly. try and look around and expand your section palette. most people nowadays use more realistic sections such as kaelis' shiny sections and horsemonster's sections, so you could try working with those
Both ships don't seem to be perfectly symetical. Take the second ship for example. See how the section furthest to the right doesn't line up with center line in the background? You need to keep an eye out for errors like that.
Those that live by the sword... get shot by those that don't.
I do like the thruster placement though. I think the overall shape is good, but as was said the particular sections your using give the appearance of being cluttered. Thats not your fault though.
I think you would have a better job with shiny sections, since your ships seem to be structured and fairly inorganic; while mech sections are really only good for making organic-looking ships.
both ships are a great improvement, the first one may be small but the shape and sectionwork are both nicely done and i can't really see any faults in it. the second one's also nice. The sectionwork at the front isn't as coherent as the first one, but it has a nie shape and the colouring's done well. overall it's still a good ship, and i look forwards to seeing more of your creations

the blurry parts at the edges stick out like a sore thumb, I thingk you should do something with them.
good work anyways
starstruck has a glowy orange fleet?
Damnit and I liked this color scheme
Don't worry, orange and white isn't exactly an original colour scheme and it's been done at least a few times before SS (that's not to say the ships he used it for were unoriginal). Besides, just because the colour scheme is the same, doesn't mean you can't use it. While it would be problematic if you copied his design there's absolutely no problem with using a colour scheme that's been done before, especially since this was done quite a while ago.
