Possible BP fanship

Okay, I'm thinking of trying a fanship in the Beauty Pageant. Based on how my first forum ship submission was (rightly) hammered, I'd like to know if I could touch it up a bit first, though.

The ship is a K't'inga class Klingon warship.


Weaponry is 1 Forward Photon Torpedo Launcher (Upgraded PlasmaBall), 1 Aft Photon Torpedo, 2 forward Disruptor Cannons in burst fire mode (Modified Particle Rifles), and 4 forward and 2 aft Phasers (modified beams).
The weapon info came from http://memory-alpha.org/wiki/K%27t%27inga_class, and I based the shape off of http://www.neutralzone.de/database/indexfra.htm.

I'm not too sure about phaser placement or numbers, because the page and pictures aren't terribly specific. Instead I based the phaser armament off what I remember from the game Starfleet Command: Orion Pirates. I also based the ship's shielding off of that. The shields are a hexagon arrangement of thin sprites with no alpha. There are more and stronger layers on the front than on the flanks and rear, roughly based off Klingon ships in SFC.

Any suggestions? I really don't want my first BP entry to be a massive embarrassment!

Compared to the reference pictures on the site you linked, the wings are not swept back enough. Also, you might want to consider less saturated colours. Your ship has no shading, which makes it look completely flat. The K't'inga is pretty flat, but the wings are slightly slanted so account for that. Finally, the sectionwork on the wings should follow lines that are perpendicular to the edge of the wing (look at the reference diagrams on that site again and you should see what I mean).
