Ori Ship (from Stargate) [WIP]

Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

Eww. Sorry but to be honest, scrap and get better at shipbuilding. No coulor, no depth, and to be honest it looks nothing like the ship. Try to use coulors and more varied sectons next time.

It's not really his fault, Stargate has some really crappy looking ships.

It's WIP, right, Delta? Chill.

Ok, the basic layout follows the ship, which is all peachy and nice, but as Delta said next step is colours and details. Colours are going to be the most important next step, as they will help distinguish high sections and low, and make the transition from the arms to the bow more accurate and interesting.

Once you've got the colours blocked out you could then have a look and see if there's and particular details you could introduce to make large areas of the same colour more interesting, to break up the repetition n all that.

It's not a bad start, but it's nowhere near completion. Personally I would have picked a more detailed and smaller ship to begin with, then work up from there - oh no, actually I started with the Hiigaran Battlecruiser, so actually, I'd start with the biggest, most complex ship and work down, heh. But that doesn't mean I'd recommend it ;)

There is a screenshot option that lets you pick the area to capture and automatically saves to png. Read the documentation.

Abandoning would be premature, I think, but I'm not sure it's quite ready for prime time yet. The ship could benefit a lot from more varied section structure and details. You have got the overall shape down, and the central core looks pretty good. Despite what some say, I personally thought the Ori ships were some of the more interesting ones I've seen in a while. It'd be neat to see what could come if you really pour some love into this thing.
seriously Anna. seriously oh my gawd seriously.
