Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

Pre-CE? no idea what that means. Care to give an example?
as per this idea, give me some time to run with it and play around. If it doesn't lead to anything then I'll move on. I like changing up styles and forcing myself to think in new ways, keeps things interesting
as per that..I dunno. As Anna said, they weren't really ships, just big neat designs, the kind of stuff I'd rather draw with a calligraphy pen. Maybe I'll have a little fun with the "splinter" pack by Kae, but as things go, I want to try and make more mechanical ships rather then abstract.
Especially with Kae's steam punk things coming out.
the circles near the center rotate and the parts coming out of them move like pistons. The glowing blue section also rotates and fires tesla shots. The Red part also glows like a furnace.

I agree with this. At first glance I thought this was a pretty great ship. Then I saw the shipmaker background, and well, TBH, it really does look as if it's meant to be the other way round.
well with the new steam punk pack out I'm actually gonna cut it down a good bit and just keep the center, rebuilding most of it. I'll try and make it fly forward this time
New version of the above, with Kae's awesome parts. Has dozens of moving parts so here's the unarmed .shp file. You'll need Kae's steam punk pack to play it, but you should really get that pack anyways.
Make sure to see it in action before passing judgment.
Belching fire and smoke, reeking of ozone and oil, the clockwork creations of the Mechanist spread with surprising efficiency across the known universe. Crafted from equal parts alloy and arcane the ships glow with eldritch runes, flashing into being amongst massive magic circles before raining destruction on all that stand in their paths. Despite their seeming technical obsolescence, the potent mix of alchemy and clockwork has proven to be much more dangerous then any could have anticipated.
This one is finished. Armed and ready to use. Not terribly big, but it doesn't crash either
Weapons
2 bolt storm missile launchers
2 long range superdense explosive cannons
6 Arc "Jacob's ladder" defense systems.
With shield (rotates, which is why its off center seeming.)
Homunculus Tomb
A common raiding ship from the Mechanist's forces, known for fast and erratic combat tactics. Bearing the rune most commonly translated to mean "Beast of man", the Homunculus Tomb is powered by two massive boilers affixed to its wings. The actual body of the Tomb is weak, held together with thin beams and sheet metal, but it is shielded by arcane means. All attempts to hail these ships have proven useless with the only responses being amalgamates of screams, howls and guttural growls interspersed with static. When captured, the runes vanish and the metal rusts near instantly. When pried open, the cockpit proves to be nothing more then a hollow metal tube, containing a soup of blood, entrails and bone; some human, some from all manner of beast.
