I realise I've been keeping you all waiting. My apologies. I've got six ships finished, four in the works, and a battlestation which is also still under construction. So that's ten ships, plus a station. I'll be putting them all up together, once they're done. Here's a little teaser of what you'll be getting. (Note: Battlestation is incomplete. The other incomplete ships only need weapons and such to be finished.)

These scream Fierce! to me, with pointy bits and all. Especially that angry red one in the lower left.. Spiky!. The ship off to its right, the one with the two tone hull, really nicely done. And on the far right, now those engines (if they are engines) are what I call white hot!

I've forever been oh-so-jealous of your shipbuilding skills... but this release puts it over the top. Some of those ships... the only words I can think of to express them is fucking amazing.

All right, everything's finished, except for the Seraphim Industries Battlestation. Here's what I've got of it so far...

I'm not sure how far away it is from completion, yet. I might just stick with that and add weapons and modules, or I might expand upon it a bit more before I start arming it. I haven't decided yet.

I wish there was a feature to mirror vertically as well as horizontally. The whole thing would probably look a lot better, then. As it is, most of the mirroring issues I can spot are either too small to worry about, or so large that it would take me forever to fix them. So I'll probably leave most of it as it is...Arcalane wrote:@Anna: examine those lower spars for mirroring issues, particularly on the right hand side, but also the left. Also check the far right arm/pod and the top left strut for mirroring problems.
That's what I was intending them to be.The Boz wrote:About the station, I how about having those four pronged protrusions on the edges work as spacedocks, and be equipped with Nanomatrices?

Well, it's all done now. Actuallly it was all done over twelve hours ago, but I was sleepy and didn't feel like going through the effort of making a nice long post detailing all of my new ships. Ahhh, where to begin. I've got ten ships, and a battlestation.
I think I'll start with the non-Seraphim Industries ships. These ships belong to a religious extremist cults, who worship the alien species from which Seraphim Industries' technology is derived. They too have an alien ship, and have used the technology to make incredibly powerful ships, heavily armed with Point Singularity Projectors and "Buster Missles", powerful weapons that are capable of shredding even the most heavily armoured ship. Fortunately, they're slow and not too difficult to avoid. The cult's ships aren't very heavily armoured, but their point-defense systems are incredibly advanced and nigh on impenetrable.
The first of their ships is the Fourth Holy Scripture:

Then there's the Fifth Holy Scripture:

Followed by the Sixth Holy Scripture:

And finally, the Seventh Holy Scripture:

It's believed that the "First Holy Scripture" is a fully operational Alien Frigate, while the Second and Third Holy Scriptures are non-functioning Alien Derelicts, although this has yet to be confirmed. Fortunately, the cult does not have the industrial base required for mass-production, and thus its fleet is significantly small than that of Seraphim Industries.
Now, onto Seraphim Industries newest ships:
The first is the Boltcaster, full designation: SIC-452RA Boltcaster-class Rapid Assault Cruiser. It's the fastest ship in the Seraphim Industries Navy, and heavily armed to boot. Used aegised sections to simulate engine-glow.

Download the Boltcaster
Second is the Legion, full designation: SIC-L-761S Legion-class Standard Light Cruiser. It's a small, light-weight shipped designed primarilly for light patrol duty, though it is more than capable of defending itself.

Download the Legion.
Up next is the Redemption, full designation: SIC-431A Redemption-class Assault Cruiser. It brings decent armor, powerful weapons and moderate speed to bear on its opponents. Unfortunately, most of these weapons are useless against the cult, as they are easily shot down by point defense systems.

Download the Redemption.
Now say hello to the Mephisto, full designation: SIC-439H Mephisto-class Heavy-Weapons Cruiser. The Mephisto is a larger, more powerful version of the redemption, sporting powerful particle cannons and a pair of Delta Torpedo Launchers.

Download the Mephisto.
Stepping up next is the Swarm, full designation: SIC-L-754M Swarm-class Missile Light Cruiser. This baby is layered with ablative armor, and loaded full of gigaton-level ordinance, and is more than capable of shredding anything with less than optimal point defense systems.

Download the Swarm.
We're nearing the end, now, and it's time for the Anasazi Mk. II, full designation: SIB-291H Anasazi Mk. II-class Heavy Battleship. In the face of the new threat from the cultists, the old, unfinished hull of the Anasazi was dug out, and upgraded extensively to become this monstrosity, capable of unloading micro-singularity death at any opponent unfortunate enough to incur its wrath.

Download the Anasazi Mk. II
And lastly, Seraphim Industries pride and joy, the top of the line Celestial Battlestation, full designation: SIBS-051 Celestial-class Battle Station. This monster ship carries a wide variety of powerful weapons. If suddenly, everything in the system starts glowing purple, you'd best be afraid, as that heralds the coming of a Tachyonic Missile.

Download the Celestial Battlestation.
That's all for now... I'm not sure what the heck I'm going to make next. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I've now posted more than fifty ships, here. Or close to it.

I made a little modification to the Celestial Battlestation. Its "Tachyonic Missile" was fucking useless, and lagged the game to hell, by layering the whole screen with pink. I replaced it with the "Tachyonic Burst Missile". It's a Pulsar gun with 0 deviation, 6000 range, fires three projectiles that do 10,000 damage each, and takes a full minute to reload. So it's still nasty.

I've been messing around with the Ship Maker 3 Beta. I like it.
th15 was generous enough to increase the amount of space you can use in the ship maker. Naturally, being the King -- or at least the Duke -- of oversized, monstrous ships, I felt compelled to put it to the test, and see what I could do.
It's not finished yet, probably not by a long shot, but here's the thing I'm working on, next to a Legacy and a standard Hestia for size comparison:

So... have I gone too far?
