I took the liberty of brightening this picture up so as to actually be able to see it, and would suggest that these be used as the main colors. this is about the brightness we would like to see.

looking at it a little closer, I can't help thinking that something more interesting could be done where those 17s are sticking out.

Ok I'm going to give you some genuine advice. Stop using ultra dark sections. Its bad. Bad like getting high from cat piss. The only way it works is if your grouping together sections too dark to see them individually and outlining them to form a new shape. Your not doing that and it looks like your not putting any effort into your internal design.

I'd like to think you are putting effort into this ship. So please, keep this shape if you must but redesign the inside so it looks like it has a purpose. Landing bay, generators, weapon mounts, or even just try to use sections that work together. And seriously, the engines are crap. Using multiple aegis of the same color or whatever you did to make it bright is not a good idea.

I've lurked on this thread long enough to have a say on the ship.

The colorscheme... Way dark and contrasting. Amaterasu is a sun goddess. Why not switch to a lighter colorscheme?

The ship looks really like a brick with a shape. Firestorm's Thermopylae is tons better than this. The Spootech Fleet ships are way better than this.

IMO you should redo the whole ship, while keeping the shape. The nose could be pointier.

OK...the ship is getting a new hull, From what I have seen, the ship cannot be fixed by merely redoing the inside.

Is there any way you could make a reactor core that is not octagonal and not made up of four 26's? That's probably where a good portion of your problems originate, plus I seriously doubt you are the first to make an octagonal reactor core out of four 26's. Hell, I though of doing it for like 5 seconds before realizing it would've looked awful.

Also your sections are still too dark and you're still posting horribly compressed .jpgs.

Errr, yeah, it's still a GODDAMN BRICK. You could make an interesting shape, you know? And remove those reactors, they're as ugly as a zebra chopped in half and thrown in battery acid. I don't care about "Oh, it's necessary for my background story", because that's just plain lazy! I'm not asking for a DaVinci, but hell, as I said, it's a brick right now.

I could nag about the colours, but eh, that's truly the least of my worries for that beast. And no, it's not about personal taste, because brickships can be good-looking too, just check Ara's and Lizzie's old works and behold ye pretty bricks. Now look at what you shat out... It's a blue... thing... I wouldn't touch it with a long stick fired from a railgun.
