Indeed, they are.ChaosTheory wrote:Pixelarts are epic. Where'd you get 'em?
From this thread: http://www.wayofthepixel.net/pixelation ... pic=4212.0
Most of them are ship sprites from game called 'Dodonpachi', others are made by pixel artists from that forum.
Space ships ALWAYS look better in 3D than 2D, heh - though some of the pixels ones are pretty cool.
A dream game of mine would be a 3D battleships forever... though obviously that would not even work. Just, a 3D spaceship sandbox with a game engine backing it up? Bliss... or I could just learn to fucking model and do some Hw2 mods...

Actually, it does work. Galactic Civilizations II with its 3d shipbuilder proved that it can be done, it just needs polish and more controll. Oh, and Spore's ufo editor. Making spaceships from most basic shapes in any kind of 3d software works, too.Wicky_42 wrote:A dream game of mine would be a 3D battleships forever... though obviously that would not even work.

As for the other one - don't remember, sorry.
Out of curiosity, why are you asking?

I was pretty much blown away by Dodonpachi pixel art when i saw it, and i still salivate profusely whenever i see it. So, upon discovering its actually a sequel, i got my hands on the original, Donpachi, and ripped its sprites as well.
