MRA; Second Gen on page 21

Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

Aaaaand triple post for a good reason. I need comments on this design before I move forward with it;

Anach Sun Amun class C&C Dreadnought

This is the largest ship in the Estedian fleet, which I'll be completing as the last MRA fleet.

Violent Reaction- I would but it would be sorta pathetic.

the less violent reaction- i like some of the ideas, and the front and rear are certainly interesting. however, the stretching is... problematic... although not too bad on the 13's, the antenna and the very central area don't look so hot.

The 'wings' have something dragonfly-ish to them, which is astoundingly cool. The front needs work, though, and your orange parts might need a little... elaboration. Maybe some gradient effects, like jewels or something.

The stretching on the antennaes is bad, I agree. I'll see what I can do with the aegised parts, but the front still needs (asymmetrical) gunbarrels added, so yeah.

I have to hand it to you; that looks pretty cool.

I like the shape of the wings.

At the same time, however, they look rather fragile... :?

By the way, did you get my original fleet pack? I have a new one for you, if you'd like to see it...

A most strange ship, I find that i hate it yet there is nothing terribly wrong with it. Other than a bit of stretching and what not that can easily be fixed.

Ill just say good job, it looks fairly different from what has been going around lately.

::blind oversight removed::
Not too shabby. The 13 parts give the impression of shielded hangar bays, or closed cannon ports... Rather nice, I say...

::edit::
Ah, screw me. I read "Entellian" instead of "Estedian." Removed.

I suck :|

That's probably why.

Looks good AD, aside from the uberstretching on the winglets. It also looks a little plain, but that's just probably Estedian style, being planetlubbers and all.[/quote]

Ladies aaaaand mentlegen, the moment you've aaallll been waiting for,....THE SECOND GEN MRA!

The second generation of Movement naval forces is now available for download. It holds all refitted versions of MRA ships, .sb3 and .shp alike.

The DL also holds a .shp of a vessel I've only shown on IRC yet; the Nautilus class. This is a vessel belonging to the old Intergalactic Alliance.

Due to it's size and unusual style, I have been unable to arm it properly, and it is thus not balanced yet. Comments and suggestions are always welcome.

The Anach Sun Amun is not yet included in this file.

It also holds a remake of my old Jerusalem Starfortress, now balanced to MRA levels.

Looks great!

The Necronomicon and Nautilus, especially.

Wow, now those are some ships!

The Necronomicon is very BSGish which is a wonderful thing mind you, and looks rather industrial and very heavily armed. I put it against a fleet of 21 delta versions of the stock ships on a 6k map, really brought out how huge that thing is. Looked great with 'small' ships attacking from all sides and barely making dents.

The Nautilus is a true standard for your work. Like several of your ships, the section usage and detail isn't all that great up close, but the result is that it looks amazing even just zoomed out far enough to see the whole ship, much like the vox. It reminds me of the white star. Although its weapons are rather sparse, its the first ship to actually destroy my battlestation, and even my overclocked titan killer had trouble with it. I will also play with the other ships later but these lagged the game so much I've wasted too much time.

very enjoyable waste of my time sir

Nautilus kicked the collective ass of my Minotaur fleet INCLUDING AN ADVANCED SUPERLASER DESTROYER. I think I might need to upgrade the shields on the forward firearc lots!

Your Necronomicon is the bane of my existence. Through toil and trials, I have come to utterly hate(in a good way) that THING'S dieterling beyond any and all physical barriers. :evil:

Ah, let the lore sayers recite the odyssey. Eh nevermind...*chainsaws lore sayers* The bastards were late on their rent anyway >.>
Every time I think I'm getting a good angle on it, it WARPS AWAY! Though it was humorous when it warped on top of my railgun cruiser, hehehe...Ahem...To top it off, when I try to pick the Dieterling off with my lancets, they encounter what appear to be...INVISIBLE SHIELDS...why I ought to...What the?! What imbecile let you in?! Get off of me! Ahhhhhh! medic!

...

........

*Several forgotten-as-a-result-of-heavy-sedation hours later.*

MRA ships are awesome! All bow to the Movement! Let the alliance be restored once more! I am saying this on part of my own free will, for surely my MRA masters have in no way altered my thought patterns...

But seriously, great ships AD. The new overhaul is WAAAAAY better than the last edition. The VSL gatpulse cannons appear worlds better than the semi-invisi-blasters before. Now,off to play around with the Nautilus...
