Another test:
The hammertime and wasp took frontal damage fairly quickly (the hammertime's deflectors were off for a while 0.o), and the fist took damage to the side, it could not turn fast enough. Then my ship took damage. Deflectors did not really work in this particular battle. Just a reminder that deflectors CAN shield the wrong section...

I have something to show you guys.
8 ships, of my own design arrayed against a single alien mothership. A few probably violate 100 points slightly, but they're mostly about legal.
8 ships, decimating the mothership about 1 minute into the match.
8 ships, 30 seconds later, and with the mothership about to die.
The ships include:
Tac-rusher
Revolver weasel spammer
pulsar spammer
scorpion/plasma spammer
boosted dusk/lancet frigate
larva (railgun spammer)
Abalone (distractor)
tanker/blaster-tach spammer

2 light rail cannons

My new version of the Wasp had better results. We still got beaten, but Wasp MK II's flanking AI made the Mothership expose it's soft interior.
I've made the Wasp a disarming ship AKA lancet spammer.
Also, It's now within legal boundaries!

Edit: Oh, shit. 2 lancets per ship now? I think we should only have 1 flak/PD/particle gun.
