Easy there, friend. The post was meant as a lighthearted response to a comment by Master Chief, not a caustic attack on your standing as a member of this board; there's no need for insults. As for your comment about the gallery containing no spaceships, are you sure you were paying attention?

I could have created a new thread, but this one seemed quite servicable; after all, I'm not trying to jump-start an old discussion, just add another link to an archive. And besides, is it more important to follow the letter of the law or the spirit? One of the other rules in that post was about not attacking people, if I recall correctly. The last thing I want is to start a flame war.

You should have given those links ealier, instead of a link to the gallery. I must admit that there's some pretty useful stuff in there, but if you had payed attention you'd know we don't like four month old threads revived around here. A new thread would have given you a new discussion, and maybe even more input, instead of angering people by necroing.

There's really no need to be touchy. Look, while I enjoy contributing I'm not about to hunt down and individually link to several hundred images that might serve as inspiration; the post directs you to the Equipment album, which in turn contains the most depictions of spaceships (but not all of them). And it's really not like this forum's etiquette/culture is unique.
