So can we be given a 24 hour warning before this starts so i can have my fleet mad ebefore then? I'm working on custom ships currently, and i figure once we get the warning I'll make some tweaked versions meant for this.

That's a bad idea, because it takes a lot of time to properly balance ships in this system. We're probably starting soon, so you might want to get going.

oh I;'ve already tested most of my ships as is, and I can take a few hours to do it if needbe, I just have trouble scheduling my time without a specific deadline

Any chance I'll actually be put on that map anytime soon or do i need to post my ships and starting fleet first?

Finishing up ym fleet, but I'm not clear on if space stations are required or not. Should I be making the different levels of them or not?

Space stations are needed to own systems, so unless you plan on never taking over any systems...

I don't think the other levels are necessary, though, just the Space Station one.

And again, shouldn't the people who posted fleet compositions revise them to include a Space Station?

I assumed wed get 1 spacestation thrown in for free. It would make things easier, and is logical.

wait do we need space stations to own a system or not? I hear everyone say it exept for the gamemaster, and it says otherwise in the rules

Yeah and is the point system on page 6 or whatever final, because if so I'm NOT building any if they aren't required, as that point system makes them useless.

Idea though: Perhaps each system also carries 5-10 points or so of defensive points you can use just for space stations and the like?

okay time to answer questions:
1) Spacestations are required to control a system.
Your station for you homeworld is a free small space station. It still costs to upgrade it to a better one.
2)You need at least a small space station to control a system
3)only required to include a small station among you ships
4 the point system for stations is:

Defence Platform - <1 Zeluspower - 0.2 point
Small Space Station - <2 Hestiapower - 1 point
Space Station - <2 Cronuspower - 2 points
Starbase - <5 Cronuspower - 4 points (one max per system)
Starfort - <10 Cronuspower - 8 points (one max per 15 systems)

Only thing to stop people from joining is....
People may as well keep joining put with the photoeditor out(Comus) the map won't change for a little while.

Quick question, how will we know where we are on the map, should we keep track of our ships somehow?

EDIT; Also, have we decided on pirate attacks? i sent a pirate ship based on the loadout already, but I'm not gonna make anymore until I'm sure they;d be utilized. Also, would anyone be against me making a space monster to attack everyone?
