The Ships of Seraphim Industries - Last Updated 12/23/07

Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

Hell, all your ships look cool. Nice piecework. There's just something about the way you make your ships. My own ship building skills seem pale in comparison.

Also, about The Sword of Judgement, I can help you out with giant stacked-laser cannons. Make sure the range of each gun different so they all fire at the same time. As in, if each gun is 5 pixels apart, make the range of the gun behind it 5 pixels more.

That's just something I found out with my Sidwes Mars Cannon, which took lots of tweaking for that cannon to work. Same with the Chainblade(which uses a bunch of modified and rotated Tachyon Drivers that look, operate, and sound like a saw.)
Yeah, I'm quite fond of the Progeny 3. It's a big, hulking monster with two massive gun batteries on either side... and that's just cool. :D I try pretty hard to make my ships as detailed as I can, without making them look too clunky. Sometimes I succeed, sometimes I don't...

Thanks for the advice with the Sword of Judgement, btw. I'll do that.

Oh, one thing. I downloaded your Chainblade, and whenever I try to use it in Sandbox mode, it just flies up to the enemy, point blank, and sits there while getting blown to pieces. :? I know that's not what it's supposed to do, though.

Use the Gravbeams and posistion the enemy on top of the saw.

If you have a ship with the Chain Blade weapon, set the AI range to 95(if it's not there already), and keep clicking the attack button when in battle so the saw stays on top of the enemy. It doesn't work otherwise.

The weapon sounds fucking awsome when it works.

I bow in thy presence...

Just imagine what would happen if th15 allowed us somehow to put doodads onto our ships... I shudder at the thought of what your ships would look like (in a good kind of way).

And are your ships in any way balanced? I have this awful urge to write a campaign around them (for if, and that's a big if a campaign editor ever comes out... but there's no harm in storytelling is there?)

My more recent ships are fairly balanced against each other, but my earlier ones, such as the original Trance Gemini, the Andaro and the Romeda, are over-powered monstrosities. Not excessively so, compared to other ships on here, but still, they're pretty nasty.

Against the original BSF ships, my ships laugh at them mercilessly and grind them into much space-dust.

Project Progeny is complete, and Seraphim Industries rolls them out, the Progeny-line vessels becoming the standard of advanced battleships in this sector of the galaxy.

The Progeny 1 has been named, Avatar:

The Progeny 2 is now dubbed, Gehenna:

Progeny 3 is known as Retribution:

And the crowning achievement of Project Progeny, the Progeny 4, was named Deicide:

All four ships can be downloaded here.

Y'know, there is such a thing as being too full of win. See, your ships are so awesome they begin an awesome-implosion event that alters the fabric of space-time. Soon we'll be seeing cats chase dogs, and pigs swarming through the skies.

I actualy have a question (surprised me too) : what's that big glowing thing for ? In the Progeny-class, it just ... sits ... there. With a Dieterling in it.

My guess is it's supposed to be some sort of super orbital warp-drive engine.

Probably Seraph's idea for a reactor.

Ah. See that makes the sense. I figured it was some sort of super-weapon that I had heard nothing about - it's happened before.

Looks cool though.

Aye, 'tis supposed to be a trans-dimensional warpgate thingy. It's just a circle, with two Aegis deflectors on it, and a Deiterling.

Progeny 3 keeps making me think of Gradius, except plus a whole bunch of smaller weapons. Definately cool looking though.
