Sorry, didn't see that. I can't really see any problems with it, so unless you come up with a design that totally abuses something I've overlooked, go for it.
Fantastic! Really, its a fix for Beamers. As it is now they keep firing at the most forward sections (you know... those aegised sections) Even as they are flanking. Lowering the arc allows them to behave more intelligently (so much as "SHOOT STRAIGHT DAGNABBIT" is intelligent ) Otherwise those flankers just keep shooting the front, even when the ship has a nice view of MS1's rear. This remedies that. doesn't sound bad, does it?
antisocialmunky wrote:Well, I think it still fits the spirit of the competition since sections can be sniped off and the ship as a whole isn't invulnerable.
Though I am curious, why didn't you go with a three Aegis set up?
On parented to the core targeting a section right infront of the core with two on the arms. Thats alot less vulnerable to rail sniping and also gives you 14 more points to spend on those Scatter Beams.
I don't think it has a dieterling, that center part looks like the tractor beam and the two large modules on the wings look like rorschach. But I'll do it anyway.
It now has a dieterling, and I swapped out some of the weapons for ones more suitable for a ship expected to reaquire a target quickly. The new weapons also make it more dangerous in general.
So, seeing as people are really progressing with there designs, when would you folks like to set a due date? I have a paper this week, and a midterm the week after, so I'm kinda thinking next weekend or later, but I'll let everyone talk it over. huzah!
tl;dr-ers will be shot on sight.

I have a question:
Are we allowed to change the colour of our projectiles? Or would you rather we not touch the weapons editing panel?
There's really no reason I want to change the colour, its just to make it look better (just like changing Aegis colour)
