The year is sometime in the future and humans have space travel and space warfare. The Pope wanted in on this so he ordered his minions to build a fleet. They went at it with a holy zeal and in no time a fleet was finished (Note that this fleet is not yet finished and will be updated in the future). So he sent his fleet out to kill shit. That's my back story, now here are my ships, all of which are named after old, dead popes (thankyou wikipedia) starting with the fighters:
The Eleuterus

Fast Attack Swarmer. These ships have by far, the highest casualty count of all the ships in the papal fleet. To pilot one is to be an exalted martyr forever. Due to this casualty rate, most of these ships are flown by drones. Armed with what might as well be a papal peashooter.
The Romanus MkI

Description: Fighter, Assault. A small, lightly armored fighter, the Romanus is nonetheless quite dangerous in swarms. It is armed with one papal beam.
The Romanus MkII

Fighter, Core Destroyer. A small figher armed with a small papal piercer. Slightly more heavily armored than Romanus MkI, but slower.
The Romanus MkIII

Fighter, Heavy. A heavy fighter armed with an overcharged papal beam and a papal sidewinder swarm launcher.
The Romanus MkIV

Fighter, Very Heavy. Armed with one papal tachyon suppresor.
The Romanus MkV

Fighter, Uber Heavy. Armed with four papal repeater cannons.
Okay, those were the fighters, now for the covettes or as they're called in the papal fleet, gunships. Also, in case you didn't notice, all of my ships, except for the capital ships are different versions (ie MkI, MkII, MkV, etc.) So, the gunships:
The Benedictus MkI

Gunship, Dogfighter. Armed with two papal suppresion cannons and a modified papal beam missile launcher.
The Benedictus MkII

Gunship, Bullet Swarm. A low armored, medium speed ship, it is very good against fighters. It has two layers of frontal shielding. It is armed with six papal flak cannons and a papal swarm cannon.
The Benedictus MkIII

Gunship, Bombardment. A small, fairly fast, lightly armored ship with 10 long ranged papal antimatter cannons and a papal spread cannon. From extremely long ranges (about 1500 or more), it will instant kill most ships.
The Benedictus MkIV

Gunship, Beams. It is armed with six papal beams, two upgraded papal beams, and two papal power enhancers.
The Benedictus MkV

Gunship, Drones. A small, lightly armored ship with two papal particle guns, eight papal fighter bays, and a papal fighter pod launcher.
Okay, those were the gunships, now for the small support ships.
The Evaristus MkI

Small Support Ship, General. An alround support fighter. It has 3 layers of shields in the front, two long ranged papal nanomatrixes, and two papal projectile impeders. This ship isn't balanced and I need to nerf the range of the nanomatrixes, and the ship in general but that's not important right now.
The Evaristus MkII

Small Support Ship, Shields. This ship has five layers of shielding and is designed to provide fleet shielding.
The Evaristus MkIII

Small Support Ship, point defences/point defence overwhelmer. The ship is armed with two papal decoy cannons, two papal flak burst cannons, and one papal point beam. Note that the modified pulses do no damage, they're just there to overwhelm pds and help shoot down enemy shots.
The Evaristus MkIV

It's got a modified Rorschach and a modified flux pojector.
Support ship, Temporary Invulnerability. No weapons, armed only with a modified projectile shield and an anti beam device. Pics coming soon
The Evaristus MkV
It's got a small weapon and two reflectors. Cudos to Chaos Theory for figuring out how to make reflectors.
Support ship, Reflector. Armed with two papal reflectors and a papal repeater cannon. Action pics coming soon.
Alright, here are the bombers. Note that some of these bombers are the size of stock capital ships, but the first three are balanced against stock ships. So, here they are:
The Anacletus MkI

Bomber, Light. A small ship with only a small bomb bay, very deadly in swarms. This one is designed to fight small ships like enemies 1-5.
The Anacletus MkII

Bomber, Medium. A decently aromored bomber armed with two high explosive bomb bays. This one's designed to fight medium ships like enemies 4-7.
The Anacletus MkIII

Bomber, Heavy. The Anacletus class heavy bomber is armed with two papal missile racks and a holy napalm bomb bay. This one's designed to fight medium-heavy ships like enemies 6,7, 21,22.
The Anacletus MkIV

Bomber, Very Heavy. Armed with two holy hypervelocity cruise missiles and four high yield papal bomb bays. This one's designed to fight heavy ships like enemies 19 and 23.
The Anacletus MkIV Cruise Missile Variant

I forgot to take a pic of it, but I will in about a half an hour.
Bomber, Very Heavy, Long Ranged Bombardment. Armed with four holy hypervelocity cruise missiles and four papal flak cannons. This one's also designed to fight heavy ships like enemies 19 and 23.
The Anacletus MkV

This one's sort of a capital ship, sort of an anti-capital ship bomber.
Short Ranged Destroyer. Armed with Holy Vengeance and two holy antimatter cannons. It also has a small amount of frontal shielding (ie frontal bubble shields). Designed to fight actual capital ships, pretty much instant kills most of the stock ships.
Now for the random ships, so far there are only two, a sniper ship and a mine layer ship. Here they are:
The Telesphorus MkI

There it is leading a doomed little pirate fighter to its death, the poor little thing. Anyways, I need to fix it a little but the gist of it is that it lays mines, has pd's and a front gun for a little defence.
Miscellaneous Ship, Minelayer. Armed with a minelayer and four papal flak cannons, and one papal gattling gun.
The Telesphorus MkII

Two shot's kills most stock ships, but it's screwed against aegis deflectors. It has really long range but really weak armour.
Miscellaneous Ship, Sniper. Armed with a long ranged high powered holy sniper, two papal flak cannons, and a temporary shield device (TSD).
The Telesphorus MkIII

It can spawn a bunch of platfoms, good for supporting.
Miscellaneous Ship, Genesis. Armed with Genesis and a temporary shield device (TSD).
The Telesphorus MkIV

It has two short ranged, really powerful megabeamers that make the shape of a cross. They're very deadly against capital ships, which are too slow to get away.
Miscellaneous Ship, Crucifier. Armed with the Crucifier Beam set, two extremely powerful beams that meet to form the shape of the cross, The Telesphorus MkIV poses a deadly threat to anyone who gets too close.
Now, here's the capital ships. Starting with the Battleships:
Here is the Damasus:

These were pics of it being pwoned by a Zephrynus. It's obviously quite powerful, but simply unable to stand up to the might of a dreadnought. It was originally supposed to be the fourth dreadnought, but I was getting tired of investing so much time to make uber ships so I decided I was going to go with something powerful but slightly weaker, and I did. There's also a dreadnought based upon this ship, to see it, look further down.
Battleship, Broadsides. A heavily armed and armored ponderous looking ship. Despite its looks, it is exceptionally desined so that the front is almost invincible so as to force enemies onto its playing field, ie the sides. It is armed with a front and a rear denier and numerous different broadside weapons.
Now the Dreadnoughts:
I present to you, the Zephyrinus:

Dreadnought, Fast Attack. The Zephrynus is the fastest ship of its class. It is not as powerful as other papal dreadnoughts, but it can flank other capital ships. It is quite well armored on the sides and front but its main weapons and rear engine areas are vulnerable, making it easily disabled. Has frontal shielding.
Next capital ship, this time a carrier. Without further ado, I present to you the Agapetus:

The rest of the pics are it being beaten but not too badly by the Zephyrinus.

If it hadn't had some key sections killed by tachyons (shown in the pics there), the Agapetus would probably have won the fight, because the Zephyrinus was orange and red pretty much everywhere.
Dreadnought, Carrier. A massive carrier armed with 128 papal drone pods, 1 Holy drone pod, 6 holy drone pod cannons, 1 papal chaingun, impeders, and the formidable Penitent Light.
Alright, here's the newest Dreadnought, The Eutychianus:
First is a pic of it in shipmaker, then a pic of it alone ingame, then of it firing its only front weapon, then its only rear weapon, then of it killing a Nagayaship2, then a fight against a Zephyrinus which the Eutychianus wins, because the ai is semi-retarded. The last pic is to show how much damage it sustained. The parenting pic is at the bottom of the parenting pics list.

It's well armed, and it's really awesome what happens when you set all of the boosters to one part (this works with the Damasus too), because the weapon fires at an insane speed.
Dreadnought, Broadside. The design of the Damasus was so awesome that the papal engineers decided to reproduce it, but make it bigger and better then ever before. Armed with front and rear deniers, several super pointbeams, and numerous broadside cannons, this ship mimics the frontal near invincibility of the Damasus.
Next up, SuperDreadnoughts!!! You thought that the dreadnoughts were murderous? guess again!
And now, I present to you the first superdreadnought, The Miltiades:
First, here's a pic of it in shipmaker, the parenting pic is near the bottom of the list of parenting pics.

The rest of them are of it owning the Zephrynus. Also, some weapons have been toned down a little since these pics.

Also, here's the probably never to be finished uber mega flagship Justice, that doesn't work in game. Also, this ship is why I made the fleet, because Stormcaller said "Can't help but think the Vatican's gone galactic." So I decided to make a papal fleet. That's the real story, look at the top for the one I hastily and shoddily made up.

Also, something awesome and off-topic is that copied and pasted into word, I have six pages of stuff in this post alone.
Alright that's my fleet so far. One of the ships which doesn't have an action pic has a parenting pic, it's at the bottom of the list of parenting pics. Oh yeah, sorry for not cropping a couple of pics. Anyways tell me what you think so far.
I just realised that I have not put up a download, so I will. Here's the download, (note, it includes the Justice which probably won't work, but if anyone gets it to work, please tell me) enjoy.
