Well, humanity should be what it implies. One entity with all of its parts working to improve it. Instead we have greedy people focused on self-advancement and hoarding money. It seems to me that society has warped the goal of life into simply making a lot of money.

I'm tired of people ripping apart the planet for profit while they completely ignore the fact that we only have one, and for the forseeable future, there's nowhere for us to go.

I'm also really afraid of the fact that we'll probably kill ourselves in the near future, because somebody is going to get stupid and inexplicably pissed off for some reason or another. Long before any natural disaster kills us, we'll probably kill ourselves because we don't know how to work together.

We've stopped evolution too, but we can fix that with genetic engineering. Of course, it's "immoral" and we "shouldn't play god" and all sorts of bs like that, so people don't fund it. We need to figure out that we control our own path and right now we're going down the wrong one.

Basically what it comes down to is that I'm really worried about the survival of the human race. And when it comes down to that, I'll take survival over morality any day, because at the end of the day one group of people is still alive, even if it's a smaller group than we started with.

How have we stopped evolution, evolution isnt a "bam one day man had three legs" kinda thing, evolution is just gradual weeding out of weeker forms until you find one that works. Second, I'm not worried about human survival, we've survived with this mindset for a good who knwos how long, we'll continue to survive, and before ya bring up nukes, I'm pretty sure we're smart enough not to use em.

Well thats exactly what were preventing, from a biological standpoint. Were preserving the weak and the stupid.

The sole fact of species being present for a long time doesn't prove anything. Dinosaurs ruled for 160 over million years, and guess what, theyre no longer here. And were here for what, 200000 years?

Weve already used them. And man's greatest minds were employed for that exact purpouse...

Ehhh, whatever, look im just goina say this. I personally think that most of the problems that most people say need fixing arn't really that bad, all I'm saying is a lil bit of stupidity isn't something we should get all up in arms about...and on that note ai totally have lost my train fo though here, so have a good day.

I'm just tired of being human. Our existence is so, so fragile, and not a whole lot of people realize that. We could be so much more than we are now, but we don't want to take that first step. There's actually just not much of a "we" at the moment, and that makes me incredibly sad.

I do believe some sense and realism has to be knocked back into this discussion before it gets out of hand. Sure, I'm against how the world is moving today, yet, I'm also against people who think that by simply removing or altering the factors which influence that movement will fix the problem. That is a huge generalization, one of epic proportions. Also of epic fail.

The world isn't in black and white, children, and we have to understand that. In fact, the world isn't even different shades of gray. Good and bad are simply subjective terms to describe and make tangible our abstract emotions on certain subjects. We cannot simply "judge" that humanity is spiraling down some deep pit we won't be able to recover from, we cannot say that "these people are causing it, or these people are causing it". What about those people set against video games? Say that they cause so much violence nowadays? I'm pretty sure we all know that's not true, but if we allow ourselves to think that 'others' that are 'lower', 'stupid', 'evil', are causing our problems, then who's to say that those "incontrovertible truths" about video games are total bull?

The world has always been a stupid and violent place. Now isn't a time that's much different. Pay a little more attention in Social Studies and you might learn something. Please, for your own sake, don't forsake humanity.

People, me included, like to paint over the past with more pleasant colors and memories. Many people like to think the past is better than the now and the future (like many parents). They think there was a Golden Age. There never was.

I think the golden age was probably a few years after Noah's ark landed on mt. Ararat. :P only a few people, a few animals, completely new world, sounds good to me :)

I'd really like humanity to move in a direction where the end result is no longer human, but hopefully, with a heavy emphasis on that, something better than human. Like I said, I'm tired of being human, and of humans in general. It'd be nice if we could move forward.

Better then human eh? How are humans bad? because we have a choice in what we believe? What would be better then human? Or do you mean in a physical sence?
