I actually discovered BF from the "Cortex Command" message boards. BF is amazing, I'm just totally captivated by the ship builder. Much fun!
So, for the passed three days, that's basically all I've been doing. I'm a n00b at this, so bear with me.
These are all my custom ships that I have built. Some are overpowered, some are underpowered.
Let's start with my first one, the Llama:
"Assault Corvette"
Next I decided to create a beam frigate, ala Homeworld:
The "Beamer" beam frigate.
The Beamer MK2:
Trades health for extreme long range and firepower. Moves quite slowly.
The Betty Assault Destroyer:
Broadsword:
Broadside destroyer. Relies on armour plates rather than shielding. Also has the ability to repair it's unshielded self.
Fluxx:
Support/Barrier platform. Able to shoot down incoming projectiles and repair itself.
The Happy Adventure:
Mothership. Armed to the teeth. I know it's unbalanced. And yes... I know it looks "strange."
Haste Medium Destroyer:
I also got inspired to make some very light assault craft. This is one of them... the "Hoppy" Heavy Assault Fighter:
The Longsword, Broadside Battleship:
An upgraded version of the Broadsword chassis. Wrap-around armour spars and shields.
Medic:
Based on the Stella Chassis. Support Engineer.
Skippy:
Light Fighter craft with the closest thing to machine guns I can think of.
Stella:
Heavy Gunship.
Stubby:
Light Corvette
Viper:
My poor attempt at a Viper Fighter craft from Battlestar Galactica.
Space Station:
A small, but tough-as-nails space station.
