The Thor Battleship (Download inside)

The Thor Battleship, named after the greek god of lightning, really represents it on the field. It is well defended, and has many uses. It is also a useful offensive weapon. It has many experimental weapons such as overcharged railguns, missile salvos, and more. The only real way to experience the Thor for real is to pilot it.

This is probably going to be one of a couple battleships in my upcoming fleet, <unnamed>.

Tiny holes aren't weaknesses btw. Not all guns are perfect accurate.

They don't need to be... If you really want it a little better balanced, I'll remove the Aegis on the back. (pretty suicidal ;P) That's why I included the back Aegis right behind the turret. So it can be destroyed by railguns/missiles etc. Also, remember that if even ONE of those shields get destroyed, then that pretty much means you're screwed.

Beamers, Shockbeams, MegaBeams, Mining Lasers.
Missile Homing.
Railguns.

I like the shape and the design. Seems a bit overloaded with guns but isn't everything these days. All in all -clicks download link please-

mef too much aegis, IMHO aegis should be used very sparingly.

You know, I thought that exact same thought while designing it, but the other alternative would be layered armor/abalitive armor, and those both take ages to do/are very boring. Alternative to that is Deflectors/Aegis, and aegis is just... Better ;P It can be destroyed, but not 1vs1 (unless vs. Nagaya's last form, or a custom ship). Was meant to be a short range Battleship, but it evolved into a all-around good battleship.

When i saw the name i just had to put it against my own Thor.

Fun fact: My Thor has 147 pieces, Zess' Thor has 17 (i think).

Also, if you wish to take out a major offensive point on my Thor, try destroying the Missile Salvo between the two railguns. You might want to snipe it before engaging in CQC combat. God, another doublepost

Near full aegis + heavy point defenses + nano matrix on a rather small ship is rather overkill. <_<

EDIT: Some of the parts in the front are slightly floaty.
