I'm all about how they function, looks to me are secondary. So I would have to say angular. And even when using angular characteristics, you make some nice eye candy. So I have confidence that eitherway you go, they will function and look nice.
If it ain't broke, then don't try to fix it

If its a matter of looks, go for the curves every single time. Angular ships have their own style, but they just can't win curves for beauty. Too masculine, IMHO. Its like comparing a Rolls Royce with a Ferrari, both having their unique style. The Roller is a handsome, manly thing, while the Red Car is simply drop-dead gorgeous.
If you wish to balance form with function, then I recommend you take the others' advice and make them with blockish core components, and then place a superficial overlay of curved parts to give it its shape.

Angular is more of a...How you put it...
"Brute Force" variety, much like the UEF of Supreme Commander.
Whereas a curved look is more of a "Graceful" look, like the Aeon in Supreme Commander.
Likewise, the Angular one is stronger structurally (Hey, it's like the UEF!) and the Curved one is more graceful (Like the Aeon!), and should fap outside the enemy's range to pound it.(Like the Aeon, again!)
You could bump up the Curved one's Hp to match Angular...But the curved ones look SO much nicer...

Sounds like angular is more or less the way to go then. Since IVL are all about "Brute force", as obviously shown by the WCW series.Atrum wrote:Angular is more of a...How you put it...
