What are the rules on revising the ship design after announcing it's inclusion in the contest? I've made a few tweaks to my ship, relatively minor ones, and hit the "upload ship" button before changing the filename and thus overwriting the earlier version. Is this... okay, not okay? Don't do it in the future, or disqualification?

That's fine. One or two revisions is okay, just don't make a habit of it.

All right. Again, I'm really sorry... noticed a few sections were a pixel off due to mirroring errors. I think I'll try and nail it down for good after I'm finished with these exams.

EDIT: Are there any restrictions on entering multiple categories? If not, are there any restrictions on entering multiple different ships or fleets in the same category?

The New Terran Defense Force was commisioned after various complaints about the former defense fleet, the Massive Defense Force, such as the poor aesthetic appeal of the ships and the overall expense of their construction. The new fleet is smaller, but the individual ships are much more unique. The fleet carries a decent amount of firepower, and is more than a match for any alien or pirate foe.

Each person is allowed one submission into each Category. Basically, one entry into the original ships category, one into the fan ships category, and one into the fleets category. I do not allow multiple submissions to the same category, though.

Current size is 22 ships. 1 superdreadnought, 4 dreadnoughts, 6 battleships, 5 destroyers, 4 patrol ships, 2 space stations.

Hope you have as much fun with it as I did making it. Yes... it's another fleet full of winged ships. What can I say, other than I was inspired by some of the works of art I've seen around on the forums?

The Megaera (CO: Vice Admiral Jen Vertek) was the scrapped sister ship to the Erinyes. The unfinished hull was saved by the Weapons R&D teams so they could mount the new Mjolnir II onto a ship with sufficient power. Despite its size and power, the Megaera had to sacrifice general firepower in order to carry the gargantuan beamer. With the Mjolnir II, the Megaera can easily render continents uninhabitable from orbit. Against ships, the heavy beam is only fired at up to 20% power.

I'll try and have a fleet ready for the third beauty pageant.

Entries are open until January 12th, so there's plenty of time for you to submit a fleet to this one.

*Note that some of the ships in the pack are not yet posted on the post with the others, this is intentional, but I am releasing them for this competition.

Oh why not, I guess I'll leave my beautiful A-Wing for later and be a judgeg =D

1. Seniority: 460 points as of this one, 6 posts a day. Check.
2. English: Have you ever not seen me make a point to speak proper english? Plus, I have no quarrels at writing up why I decided to take off points, or why I gave a 10 out of 5.
3. Getting the Job Done: No filter here. Plus, it'll give me something to do, rather than becomings just something that I have to get done .
4. Making it Personal: I've refereed more than one higher level game in which I've had kids playing in that are very good friends from camp (well, in a counselor to camper kind of way ), so this'll be a walk in the park. Plus, I'm horrible at weapon balance anyways, I wouldn't want anybody taking points off of that for me. Not to mention everybody has a different idea of "balanced".

I'm terrible at balancing still so this is extremely true.

DL: Heaven's Last
Backstory: Thousands of years have passed as humans as well as other alien species developed new technologies. Prayers have never been answered and the occasional miracle was only dumb luck when further research was done. "Morality" was no longer a factor to anyone, it a was a do-or-die situation for all species in space. The destruction has spread from nukes that destroy continents to compression bombs that disintegrate entire planets to the point in which they never existed.

It's gone too far. Final Judgement has arrived, the true miracle that'll release the universe from this ongoing war.

(I'm a very bad writer. I don't endorse religion or anything. I'm athiest. Just clearing that up.)
Edit: When testing this ship the rorshchisher(lolwut) beam bender is insanely good... at bending beams. You're practically invulnerable to beams when behind 'em.

edit: Changed the outer lasers to very slow demeters due to too much laser spam.
