My entry for a Fan Ship. This is a Conestoga class starship, the thirteenth vessel of the class being the USS Sulaco.

Image

It's roughly to scale, at 385m with each square being about 20m. Download link here.

I had to fudge the weapon ranges, because the particle beams are supposed to be able to hit out to 100,000km. :)

Armament:
8 XIM-28A Long Lance ASAT Missiles
2 800MeV Neutral Particle Beam Cannons
2 Twin Railgun Launcher Turrets
2 80MW Point Defence Laser Turrets

I'll be entering a fan ship if I can find the time to actually redo the part that I'm unhappy with. Actually, if I don't have time, I'll just submit it as is.

After this one I'd like to judge a beauty contest where previously made ships were allowed in (well, at least where they wouldn't be unadvised to be submitted).

They are still allowed. I'd rather people didn't do it, but there's nothing stopping people from doing it, and I won't disqualify or penalize anyone who decides to submit a ship they've made previously. I'd just prefer that people didn't... part of the fun is seeing the new designs.

I think I said in the first post that I'd prefer not to have the same people who judged last time to judge this time. If you really want to, though, the sure, you can have the job.

Ah sorry, must've missed that part. I think I'll just sit this one out then.

My take on the Victory Star Destoryer. Schematic not as correct as it should be, but most the weapons functions as they should. Compromise was made to add non-canon-looking weapons like railguns to increase its combat ability slightly(trick enemy's deflectors to activate on a section behind the frontmost one). Weapons are unmodded, except their arcs, most of the weapons use 185 degree arcs facing the sides, with a 20 degree overlap directly in front, and a blind spot in the back. Main battery is enhanced by enhancers on the bridge to simulate a battery director system.

Looks good! One of the armour plating sections isn't mirrored properly though. It's the wrong depth on one side. It's the outermost panel amidships.

Has Anyone thought of making the Battleship Halberd (Meta Knight ship).
I know it might score low but it would be interesting to see.

At goduranus: you may want to put a .shp download so it can be judged.

Not to mention the Demeter pods are out of sync, which is a problem I encounter often.

According to
http://hangarbay.tripod.com/td-vsd1.html
and
http://hangarbay.tripod.com/td-vsd2.html
VSD I has 80 missile launchers, VSD II has no missiles.

"Heavy Cruiser - 01" (HC-01)

Smooth egg-like shape with mostly energy weapons and missiles. Not really based off of anything, i just thought it has a interesting connection tree* and a fairly ominous placement of the mega tachyon. (If you look closely you can see the edge of the underlying ship peice)
Image

* The ship will literally deconstruct itself if the platforms above and below the railguns are destroyed.
