With his heavy warships damaged during the first assault, the SAR Theater Commander and 5th fleet CO, Adm. Michael Kerensky, has elected to use the still-untouched destroyer and cruiser corps of 6th fleet for the battle. With two Arasaws present, however, he feels that that alone may not be enough to ensure victory - and thus has called upon Adm. Marcus Glaive, CO 3rd fleet, to supply him with several advanced warships to help turn the tide in his favour. While 3rd fleet is supposedly several systems away, these reinforcements arrived almost immediately. Leaked comms suggest a Project Aurora was somehow responsible for this, though no more information is forthcoming.
Well, I did write this out before the whole computer performance issue was mentioned. It probably doesn't help that SAR ships are pretty laggy thanks to all the doodads. I'll probably change it.

So has Ratai. Only Doogie has three heavier ships, Ratai have one battlecarrier - and everything else light craft. Though, I suppose the battle can be unbalanced... I was thinking that Ratai has deployed this few ships in order to perform pocket manouver, let the enemy fleet jump in and engage the current force above Daike and then, throw in the main force to blockade the jump node in order to catch Novian - SAR force inbetween Miora space and Ratai Fleet... Ratai armada is 8 times larger than Mioran fleet, so deploying this few ships on Ratai's end is laughable amount to be honest. Ratai are still hoping that SAR nor Novians know the true size of their navy - after all, they have only entered part of Mioran space thus far.
There is one minor flaw in Gargoyle DI, least what came up when I was testing it. It does not move close enough to its tartets to fully take use of all of its beam weapons. More like just the frontal beam and then missiles. The beams are nasty against any light craft that strays too close, but yeah... just tought I should note out.
I ran few pre simulations with reduced numbers of ship (on both end). Will be quite interesting battleh.
Gargoyle Di is supposed to take the "long range bombardment" role. The beams are simply to destroy smaller craft that can close in on it. I needed a support ship, since I already had quite a big direct assault group.
Ahh, very well then. In that case the ship is working just fine. You know, we're still quite outnumbered, least what my pre battle tests tell. Gonna have to pull some... pocket manouver or something...
