The International Ma'at Terrestrials are several small groups of species that, fascinated with the ancient Egyptian way of Earth, created ships, buildings, and generally everything in a similiar manner in order to preserve the legacy of the "greatest civilization that ever lived". They have adapted almost everything except the religion of the Egyptians. Most other sentient beings consider the IMT strange, but have learned to fear their ships.
The Armada
The IMT-Amon Ra

The simple workhouse destroyer of the fleet. It is their first and most common ship, although it is still enough to cause a panic to any captain.

The mainline cruiser of the fleet. Armed to the teeth with missiles.
Frontlne frigate. Without the fertility of Hathor module it's lifespan in the battle is severely lacking, this is made up by its powerful sun disc beam.

Wow, overall that's pretty nice. One of the better ships I've seen from you, I think. Quite slick and stylish. You've obviously grasped how to use Shiny Sections well. Anna approves!

A very nice ship, well done! It flows together in a sort of industrial, blocky way and overall is very pleasing to look at, also well done with the turret blending.
Ed: sorry half asleep when I posted, but how about makin a super fast ship called bast!

I think the induction of "LOL" "OMG" and "<3" into the Oxford English Dictionary is a sign of the End Times. Only, instead of a rider on a pale horse, it'll be a gibberish-spewing spastic in a monster truck named "The Dildozer".
@Kittenpillar, Amon Ra is a priest/demigod offspring of Ra. Ra will probably be the name of a bigger ship I make later. And Seth (Set) wasn't small time, he was the big god of evil.
@Everyone else. Thanks for the praise! I figured out a different method and it turned out wondrous. I'll try it again later to see if it isn't just beginner's luck.
Gotta say, I love this, both the Egyptian theme as well as the design of the Amon-Ra. It has a vaguely Dr. Robotnik feel to it, if you remember the Wing Fortress in Sonic 2, maybe not.

Nope, you're thinking of Apep/Apophis. Set was actually mostly a good guy in Egyptian Mythology until later when the Romans came in and influenced things, iirc.

I wasn't considering Apophis a god, but sure. But Set was the one who killed Osiris, so that counts for something.

On a side note, I'm having a hard time imagining those aliens would get Egyptian mythology down perfectly. Go ahead and name your next ship Sun Ra for all it matters.
Actually, set didn't kill Osiris, he made him god of the dead by putting him into a coffin and sending him into the underworld. Then he tried to kill Isis, Osiris' wife.

The Son of Osiris is a fine work as well, though perhaps a hair too recycled from the Amon Ra. It's good that they have a lot in common stylistically, but when they have this many arrangements of sections in common it feels a little like it detracts from the creativity that goes into each successive ship.
I'm curious as to what you could make for this fleet on a smaller scale. A Heru Ur fighter perhaps? Just a thought.
mm? tis the new shiny? I just put all the shiny sprites in with the original folder. I can't remember who, but someone else did this and I was under the impression it was required.
