I'm rather impressed with where you started, but it seems your section usage got a bit sloppy towards what I'm guess was the end. In the layer just above the sections that comprise the border there are a few misplaced sections that look rather ugly.
Additionally, while you have a lot of interesting and beautiful elements here, they're a bit too compressed and they make the ship look jumbled. Considering the scale as well, this ship looks a bit too big for its britches. Having so many weapons (and what I'm guessing are engine exhausts just aft of the largest guns) consuming so much space give the appearance that this is a symmetrical pile of powerful things, and not truly a ship.
