As far as I know it's not possible to make tachyons explode. You could do something like hide a missile under it though. As ArcaneDude suggested, however, it's probably better to just use Eri's weapon.

You can set the burst high, that way it would take a fair deal of pd before dying. This would work as long as another weapon did the damage, because otherwise the damage would vary greatly depending on the amount of pd the ship has.Samick wrote:Tried that it doesn't match up the rail gun no matter what i do with it

I find this method actually works quite well. One of my ships is supposed to have 6 main guns at 300 damage apiece, but they kept getting intercepted. With a burst of 3, damage of 100, and 0 deviation, the blasters get where they are going, and the target ship's PD was still useful in reducing the damage.Bad Boy wrote:You can set the burst high, that way it would take a fair deal of pd before dying. Eh, here's something I've created: Ionic Bombardment Laser

though idk if I should remove the pulsar or not >_>. The pulsar makes it look like the Electrolaser... which i just recently found out right after I finished >.<.
It fires a nice solid laser (shockbeamer+megabeamer) with trails of energy (pulsar) following it. Once the beam ends, the energy building up along the way snaps and it flies off toward the enemy dealing last the minute damage.
The mega tachyon isn't necessary, but a giant pulsar with two beamers in the middle isn't appealing.
