I heard that there was an instance where two siblings played against each other in BF, but how exactly do you do so?
I can't find a so-called "Multiplayer" in BFv.9.
If admirals hate and trash your ships,
If you can't get it right;
Then off you go, but don't call quits;
Just go make custom sprites.

There is no multiplayer but stay around maybe sometime soon there might be

Umm, people have used AI controlled custom ships to run tournaments before. That's the only kind of interaction that's available.

I don't know if this post should belong here or not but:
Multiplayer is a shortened version of the phrase "multiple players" and does thereby mean that there are more than one player in the game at the same time, it could be online or at the same computer/console.
So me and a couple and my brothers tend to play "cooperative/multiplayer" mode using a custom-created ship that has weapons for the Pilot, main Gunner and Intelligent Bombardment Systems (IBS).
So, i guess that Battleships Forever could be called "multiplayer" right now.....
You may hate me for this, but, it was only my thoughts about it.

Yeah, just use the DCC mode on a ship that is designed for it and have one person on the keyboards piloting while the other uses the mouse to aim.
Closest thing there is, with the right ship.

Isn't multiplayer something that's in the works for BSF?

BSF, no.
BSF2, I think so.

Oh, well, that's what I meant. So how different will BSF2 be from BFS1?
edit: And when can we expect v1.0 of BSF?

Well in the first place, it may never exist. So that's a big difference right of the bat. Considering the fact that there aren't even any solid plans for it right now, the main difference is that it would be in many ways different. How is unknown and unknowable.

Ok. So when can we expect to move out of the 'beta' phase of BSF1?

I recommend you satisfy yourself with v.90a for the time being.

We can expect to move out of beta when all major features are implemented and free of serious bugs, and when all the missions are done.
Oh, you wanted a time frame? I'm so sorry...
