so... I've decided to mess around with BSF again. However, I seem to be unable to just make a ship of the kind similar to my BP entrants last year. In the effort to enjoy this game again I'll post most if not all of the ships I make this year in this thread. (this will be a process but please help wherever possible)



After school gets out in June, I'll really start to produce ships but here is the first one:

Beusaf Class Cruser

I figured that I'd start from the basics, is it good considering I haven't touched the game in a while?
(What can I do to it other than adding doodads and some kind of pd?)

The use of 22's makes it a bit too blocky, but otherwise it's a nice looking stock ship. I look forward to seeing your progress this year.

Yawn... i think these look good, they're really small, like the colors fleets that arcaline and horsemonster did.

oO thats kinda neat. I think you might have something with the one on the bottom left, though something about the front throws me off. Good use of doodads though.

yeah, i like the bottom left as well, the odd thing is that the outline of the outriggers kinda clashes with the outline of the front, but it still l0ooks interesting. i think the ones in the top right are pretty neat too, but they look to me like they should be the other way around

I agree with this, although I rather like the top rights as they are. It's more unusual and it fits with the whole shiny back dull front thing you seem to be trying to do.
That said, the bottom right ship needs work. Its shape is uninteresting and kind of fat, the curvy bits on the side look bad and the dull parts on the back are too detailed.

here... I've changed the battlecruser and added a battleship, enjoy!

The battlecruiser looks better than before but a still uninteresting. Using similar winglets to those on the cruiser might help though something else you haven't used might be better. Also, because the sections are so thin the antenna glows look like they're floating, it's a bit disconcerting.

The battleship needs work. The prongs at the front look silly and the winglets are too small. Without those it'd be emaciated looking. In short, rework the front and the winglets.

These are really good little ships, and its also good to see a consistency among the fleet, I'm a particular fan of the Nejow, but i think the battle cruiser simply needs bigger winglets to give it a more interesting shape, whereas the battle ship needs something to connect the front to the middle more, as at the moment it looks very much like a bell end :S. All in all very good i look forward to more

Yes, I realize that the two pd guns on the wings are too bright... It is best viewed ingame.
