Re: Doppleganger Damacy - Exalted
First off, stats: I'd take resistance 2, manipulation 3, integrity 1, craft (water) 2 ((if we are going to keep the girl, cooking would be nice to have)), larceny 1 and valor 2...
I'd go after the Skilled investigator guard first, if he keeps looking into the other doplle's case he might accidentally stumble upon us, so while getting valuable skills we'll also take care of a potentiality grave threat.
When/if we got some time left, try getting to know the young girl a little better and see if she has parents/relatives/other random person looking out for her. That could be a problem seeing the girl knows what we are...

Manipulation 3 (may need to talk our way out of situations)
Wits 3 (quick-thinking is key)
Conviction 3 (be able to make hard choices)
Temperance 2 (resist the urge to eat everything that moves)
No votes for other stuff just yet.
Vote against charging off towards Lookshy blindly though.

I'm with Arcalane on the stats.
For targets? Go for the librarian first, he seems the easiest to pick off.

About the librarian: its true that he is the easiest to find and consume, but it'd also put other people on a crazy search to find you... in that sense he might be the most dangerous to consume if the investigation to the 'mysterious killings' is still on...Chiiro wrote:I'm with Arcalane on the stats.

That's when we grab the watchman, without him I doubt they'll be doing much progress. :3Jokarun wrote:About the librarian: its true that he is the easiest to find and consume, but it'd also put other people on a crazy search to find you... in that sense he might be the most dangerous to consume if the investigation to the 'mysterious killings' is still on...Chiiro wrote:I'm with Arcalane on the stats.

If the watchman knows its us, I doubt he is going to come alone, plus we'd have to leave town to escape the dragon blooded monks who will most likely come to settle the score with us... I still suggest against going after the librarian as long as mister watchman is alive...

Re: Doppleganger Damacy - Exalted
I would go for Manipulation 3, Wits 3, Craft (Water), Resistance 2, Conviction 3 and Temperance 3. When the girl wakes up talk to her to see why those people were attacking her > may not just be random.. that is if she doesn't run off. (Which would probably require a new face if that happened)
As for people to munch.. I think the investigator would be difficult to get alone at any time. BUT he is a direct and great threat so.. should really be dealt with sooner rather than later.. its not like we can't try lure him off somewhere with our Appearance 5.
Lookshy is a bit too.. dangerous for us now.

Re: Doppleganger Damacy - Exalted
Take Manipulation, Wits, Craft (Water), Craft (Wood), Resistance and Valor.
Urgently, ask the little girl her name, for the Maker's sake. Go for the investigator, but take the girl with us. He'll be difficult to catch alone, I understand, but assuming we take Manipulation 3, we are now intelligent enough to set up a trap. Locate him, chain the little girl to a post (spend Essence on the Compassion roll if possible), prod him in the right direction if necessary, and then assault him while his back is turned. And I think we want to fashion a collar and leash for our new child if we have the materials (using Craft: Wood, mayhaps).
Lookshy is definitely out of our reach for now. Dragon-Blooded are not, as Arc so sublimely put it, Happy Meals on legs. Let's concentrate on the investigator either way. We want the bloke dead sooner rather than later.

Re: Doppleganger Damacy - Exalted
I basically agree with everything Starstruck just said. We should get the most immediate threat out of the way, and take his knowledge. That should at least dent the guard's investigative skills a little so we can take the librarian as easy prey.
It also seems we're growing a conscience. This is unacceptable.

Re: Doppleganger Damacy - Exalted
I agree with Starstruck on the stats.
As for the first target, I would say the Guard since he represents the greatest threat to us so we should take him out first. Then we can start going after the Librarian.

Pitching in for Starstruck's idea.

Re: Doppleganger Damacy - Exalted
I'm voting completely against Starstucks idea...
I mean, we just got the girl out of a traumatising experience because of our new found compassion and now we want to use it to do something we could do ourselves without problems wouldn't that make tessa seem a little heartless?

Manipulation 3
Wits 3
Conviction 3
Temperance 2
Resistance 2
Craft (Wood/Water) 2*
*whichever is fine
I like STARSTRUCK's general idea, except the part where we chain the girl. I feel we could get her to cooperate willingly instead of, you know, slavery :<. But do get her name.
It's more useful to have someone inconspicuous that we can use that will willingly help us if possible.
Just be nice-ish to her and let Stockholm syndrome do the rest... Hopefully.
If that doesn't turn out we can always revert back to leashing her.
Actually, I doubt we even need her to get the guard... Get him while he's off duty, drinking at the bar or something. Go go appearance 5!
Also, girl on girl action is hot. More on that later.
Alternatively, take Ride 2 instead of craft and ride the girl around. WHEEE.
Wait, that won't work.
Oh also ask her if she knows how to do stuff, like archery. I like the idea of having backup... Worse comes to worse, we'll teach her how to do it...
EDIT: I'll just support Lizzie's idea.

Go after the guardsman investigator first. He's likely to cause some trouble. After that I'd target the hunters for their tracking skills, we could certainly use those as well.
As for the girl, get her name and stuff, don't eat her, try to calm her down and such. Oh and explain to her you're not the one whose doing all the killings around but rather after that individual and you only kill and consume when necessary, like last night. Oh and I vote against Starstrucks slavery option. Also find out if she has any family or if she's alone.
Also I vote against charging into Lookshy. As far as I know Lookshy is the Exalted Equivalent of Sparta, don't fuck with them. (And don't make any goddamn sparta jokes or Anna will have us self destruct, not kidding.)
Oh and finally: Manipulation 3, wits 3, Resistance 2, Conviction 3, Temperance 2, Craft water.

After your mean you feel much more... human. Until now, you've had a basic idea of how humans think, but your own thought process has been strange and foreign by comparison. Now you come to understand such concepts as "honour" and "trust" and "bravery". Strange concepts. You're not sure how well they sit with you.
In the morning, you make food for the girl -- that's another thing you learned, cooking, you have little use for it yourself, but your knowledge of humans lets you know that most are unlikely to enjoy your preferred sort of meal -- and bring it into her room. She sits up, looking shaken, and accepts the offered food, eating quickly, not wasting a single bite. She's very thin, and looks like she could be anywhere between fourteen and seventeen years old. You pat her head lightly, and she flinches away, looking up at you and relaxing.
"What's your name?" You ask.
"Lindel." She answers quietly.
While she eats, you talk with her. She's homeless. A slave who escaped her owner. She has no family that she knows of. You offer her some coins and tell her to go purchase herself some clothing, and tell her she's welcome to stay with you. She stares at you, but nods her head slowly. You don't mention anything about eating people, and neither does she.
You spend the rest of the day making preparations. You've decided to go after the investigator who's looking into the murders committed by yourself and the other doppleganger, a fellow by the name of Renar. You know his schedule fairly well, and are aware of the fact that most nights at roughly the some time, he pays a visit to one high-class brothel. At all other times he's either unpredictable or surrounded by many others. It's the best time to take him alone.
An hour before the time he usually visits, you're standing in a narrow alleyway outside that brothel, looking up at the window. Always that room. They have a different girl for him every night, but it's always the same room. How strange, you muse to yourself. It's a fairly simple matter for you to climb up the side of the building. Then, you rap once on the window.
"Huh? What's that?"
The window is opened and a woman sticks her head out. A quick wipe with a poisoned blade and she staggers over and lands to the floor, still alive, the poison making her weak. You look down at her, briefly wondering what it would be like to eat prey that's still alive. You're not sure if the thought entices or disgusts you. But you don't waste time with eating her yet. You tie her up and gag her, putting her in a closet, after removing her clothing. If the investigator came in and saw the mess you'd make from eating her, catching him off guard would be far more difficult, so the whore lives, for now. Assuming the poison flowing through her veins doesn't kill her.
After that, you dress yourself in the whore's silken, very revealing outfit, looking down at yourself and giving a slight nod of satisfaction. Waiting is the hard part, but you manage. Almost right on the dot Relar enters the room and starts undressing, not bothering with pleasantries. You just smile at him. He doesn't doubt for a moment that you're just another whore -- albeit one of the most beautiful he's ever seen -- until he notices your second pair of arms. That causes raised brows, but little more. You look so casual and at ease that he doesn't appear especially unnerved.
"Looks like they saved me something special tonight." He says as he approaches the bed and takes you into his arms.
"Oh yes, they did."
Three stabs to the abdomen in quick succession send him to the ground, groaning in pain and wide-eyed disbelief. You're on him in an instant, slashing his throat open and ending his life before he can make a sound. Then you eat.
Choose two from the list:
What to do now? Also, eat the whore, or leave her tied up in the closet?
