It's a dangerous time to be a pirate. You've got FleetCOM feds on your back, PMCs defending your favorite targets and just to complicate things a bunch of aliens have brainwashed your leader ! Aye !
The Ingame Description wrote:Awed by the success of mass-produced alien vessels, pirate factions began stockpiling captured civilian ships. Combined with extreme skill at EVA ship repair and blueprints of FleetCOM battleships they created their first standard assault craft - christened Felicitas after the Roman god of chance and success.
This situation spawned the pirate's first standardized battleship. Fleets of pirate vessels outside of Nagaya's direct influence began stockpiling derelict vessels wherever they could find 'em, even going so far as to raid guarded junkyards. These were then stripped for parts, then sent to the asteroid colonies for assembly. A few stolen blueprints, many stolen welding stations and only a month later, this feat of co-operation brought the Felicitas into the world.
Due to the variety of armaments and sections salvaged, the ship is cobbled together from both Terran and Alien parts. In addition to this, the hasty development process and lack of proper assembly lines has caused the structural integrity to fall bellow normal standards - though in the heat of battle the design has proved itself many times over.
Engines on the ship are optimized for long-distance travel; tracking down enough warp drives for the covertly assembled vessels would be problematic and more than likely reveal it's presence. This does have the side effect of reducing short range speed bursts, however; and don't expect it to turn on a dime. Or stop on it. Oftentimes, the ship will simply collide with whatever it is attempting to attack giving the battery of blasters full access to unguarded sections.
