Haha, poor Kanosint, beaten to it by someone else. Serves him right for taking so long
Very nice airship, truly steampunk.

So what if its in space? Just because BSF setting is space doesn't mean we should never do non-spaceworthy ships. Otherwise steampunk sections would be pointless.DoomBringer wrote:Nice That is so Final fantasy but what would an airship be doing in space?
Kanosint? haha. Anyway I never played FF
Heres the gif I promised: (try saving and opening on the pc, its slow on the browser)
EDIT: Ill make a better gif, this one is crap.

New fighter:
About the exaust doodies, I think Ill get rid of them and use just thrusters.
Also, I plan to release it soon, just need to fix some small things.

Haha, the plane is great! It has just the right balance between falling apart and being clunky to make it a believable mad-genius flying machine.
The airship is great too, with a lot of nice details. Especially the belts driving the props and the lightbulb at the front catch my eye. I'm not totally convinced by the hull plating at the front/back end (where the curves of the blimp start), but don't really know how to fix that either. The 'bad' parts are far outweighted by the greatness anyway.

Love the airship and especially the little airplane. Nice colors and movement!
Watching the animated airship, I see you have solved a problem that has been bothering me. How did you animate the chains driving the lifting propellers? I've tried something of the effect but I cannot get all the chain links to travel at the same speed. It's probably something simple I am overlooking, but can you give a little rundown of how you acheived it?

Now and then we had a hope that if we lived and were good, God would permit us to be pirates.

Very nice so far, but remember to be careful with stretched sections. Overuse or overstretching doesn't look very good!

Yeah, that part was much more difficult than I expected, I tried a lot of diferent ways, but this one was better.Aaganrmu wrote: I'm not totally convinced by the hull plating at the front/back end (where the curves of the blimp start), but don't really know how to fix that either. You make a section move for, lets say, 10 frames, and return in 1. then start clonning it, and for every clone change the start position, in a progression(0,2,4,6 or 0,3,6...). don't know if theres other way, but thats how I did it.Pyper wrote:Watching the animated airship, I see you have solved a problem that has been bothering me.
