Try modded megabeamers (with short range of myabe around 10 or so). They don't expand in width when damage is increased (unlike beamers and shockbeamers, I believe), and they have this nice glowing effect when used in hordes too.Spoot Knight wrote:I wanted it to be able to cut apart ships upon contact.

[sigh] only shock beamers do that..Master Chief wrote:Try modded megabeamers (with short range of myabe around 10 or so). Look Up
upon reading this:
50% of people will have scrolled up
25% will have looked at their ceiling
The last 25% can now feel smug because everyone else has taken orders from a little sig box.

Is that all you ever say about every sword someone makes? Like I said, the grip's wider compared to the drawing I have, so the proportion's somewhat iffy. It looks the length of a claymore when but beside the character the sword was meant for (As I mentioned it was part of a story I had in mind).ChaosTheory wrote:Lighten the dark parts, and it will look better. And less like a really long dagger. . . .

I said the darkest pieces need to be lightened up, or else it it makes it hard to see anything but the light blue sections . . . which form the shape of an out-of-proportion dagger. You can fix it . . . to make it better . . . improvement is good . . . or are you so against actual constuctive crit that you attack anybody who doesn't absolutely love everything you do? Not only does your comment, "Is that all you ever say about every sword someone makes?", make for pointless, incorrect, idiotic blathering, but you try to insult me, too . . .Spoot Knight wrote:Is that all you ever say about every sword someone makes? I mean, what the hell?
Do you want to see what a good sword looks like? Fine. Maybe I'll recreate the Fallen Light (not the one I used in the AtM toureny) that was lost due to sb3 incompatability. Then will you believe that good ships need to LOOK GOOD, not just be funny/stupid?
I seriously don't understand your comment. Get a grip, if you can't take the crit.

I don't use custom colored parts, so everything I make has the Spootech fleet colors, ok, so that's me.
Where in my post does it say I'm trying to insult you? I don't see anything that would be considered vulgar in the least.
Ok, I misread that entire post, my mistake.
You say lighten the edges of the blade, alright.
Who said I was trying to make this a good ship? My good ships are my Spootech fleet, this was an "Ah what the hell," just like the Pyro-GX I made was. Am I going to try to be egotistical and say it's the greatest thing ever? No, I know they aren't anything good compared to what I seriously make, the Pyro doesn't look good at all; I just wanted the shape of it to be as accurate as possible so you look at the outline and say "Hey, a Pyro-GX."

Heh no cuz if the enemy sees you carrying that sword and thinks the same as you, their going to come to the conclusion that your either crazy retarded or incredibly good with the blade. Either way they won't wanna mess with you;)Strideo wrote: But I must say if it were a real design I'd be a little worried about those spikes pointed back toward the grip on the cross guard. I love the design as a ship, although the handle could be more pleasing to the eye, but ya can't beat that blade!
I like those designs, thou...
I think, I will do a ship based on this:

I messed up with the concept of the sword as a ship, I don't think you want this as a download.

I suppose that sketch isn't designed for realism, but I have a question: how the hell are you supposed to fight with that "hand-guard"? Quite aside from it being too short for a two-handed sword (which I'm guessing from the proportion of the grip), there's no room for actually being able to grip the thing sensibly. The spikes on the inside of the cross-guard are just bizarre.
Have you ever actually fought with a sword before?

I haven't fought with a sword but I have done swordplay with the F.A.K.K.2 sword.

Yes. What is with everyone demanding that I prove myself recently? Do I come across as a liar or something?Master Chief wrote:Wait. Are you implying that you have?Daxx wrote:Have you ever actually fought with a sword before?
EDIT:
Aside from the fact that the way those two bars spiral around the handle you can't get proper leverage on the blade without running the risk of having your wrists broken.Spoot Knight wrote:there's nothing wrong with the way the handle looks there.
EDIT EDIT:
Oh wait, you thought I was talking to you. Actually, I was referring to Malahite's drawing. The only problem I have with your design is those spikes coming from the crossguard.

No. You don't come across as a liar - it's only that people usually demand evidence for things which they find either hard to believe or plain ridiculous. In your case, it was the first one.Daxx wrote:What is with everyone demanding that I prove myself recently? Do I come across as a liar or something?
