Ha, I just need to work on the front more. :)

The wings are finally done! Now all that's left is the rest of the bow and the armaments. I swear, the wings were a bitch to make, especially where the dark blue parts are, the lighter blue simulates the appearance of smaller wings that go upward. :)

1,359 sections. 150 more than my older Crusader.

I decided I'd remove the center engine pod and make it into that rear-firing beam cannon. (Even this ship will retreat if necessary and it needs something to kick ass while doing so. ) It doesn't show on this screenshot though, it's still the engines here, the next time I post an image of the ship, which should be when the rest of the hull itself is complete, you'll see the beam cannon.

How am I lying? I was suggested that the Crusader be my cap on ship sizes, this Crusader's no bigger than my old one, just more detailed. :)

Oh...and um...HULL'S DONE! :D
1,518 pieces, what a doozy...

Now with the rear-firing beam cannon, still need ideas on what I should use for the unused weapon ports. (Old Equalizer Raildriver slots)
I'm guessing the way I placed the Section 13s I can cut the number of weapons on the ship by 35% (Guestimate) so it won't look overcluttered.

Those pulsar beam arrays are so cool to use...

HAAAWT! Not much else to say, it looks awesome, the weapon placement is awesome, the wings look awesome, the back looks awesome, the center looks awesome (I know this is getting repetitive, but it's nearly over), and the front, needs a bit of work (I assume that when you say you have to finish it up, you mean the front right?). Also, Holy Shit, 1359 sections, that's nearly as many as Seraph's Gilgamesh, well done.

A little late on that post there, the hull's done now, I just need to arm it.

Where the gap is, the very center part of the ship. (There were seven engines, the center-most one being the one that was replaced with a beam cannon)

Ya, I see it, I don't know how I missed it. Anyway, maybe I missed it, but can we get a download?

Once more, I have to say, that ship is beautiful.

I'm really not sure what I'm more impressed with, the quality of the ships or the speed at which you crank them out.
I have to kill fast and bullets are too slow.

Question: Are you going to put turrets in all those circles because they look like perfect turret mounts.

Yeah, I already armed it, I'm just making sure it's ready.

Of course not, no one but you can use blue as well as you is all...

If you're still trying to think of a replacement for the equalizer rail guns, you could have very high damage rail guns with quite high damage per section, but give it a large enough deviation that it usually shears off chunks of ships instead of insta-core-killing them...

Congrats on the amazing ship, anyways; I think it feels even more 'real' that Anna's recent uber ships!

I suppose, but the idea behind them was that they were also used as planetary bombardment cannons.

Ok, what about making them perfectly accurate, but so slow that ships move enough to avoid insta-death? Then they could still be planetary bombardment cannons.

EDIT: or you could have low-medium deviation rail guns that fire a shotgun/cone blast of high damage but low damage per section shots so it doesn't core ships very well, but is deadly and still looks like a planetary bombardment cannon.

EDIT: There's a few other ways to get rail guns to work the way you want them too. Just don't switch to beams, please? See signature
