Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

Templars =/= Teutons

These are two different Orders. Plus, the Templar starfighter is called "Sword class" :P

Finally got about halfway working on the largest capship. It's class name is Senechal [thanks again for the name], and here is a size compare screenshot. It's still unarmed, and I'm thinking on reworking the front, but I like where it's going... and I love how the shield turned out on it.

very nice, i love your hull paneling style. The only thing that could make these ships better is if they ever allow sections to rotate, or more likely, sections to not rotate on a station. Then you could have the shield rotate kinda babylon5 stylie

It's spelled "Seneschal", unless you're purposefully trying to spell it wrong (which is perfectly alright!)

Cool ship design, anyway. It looks mighty dangerous.

Very nice and the shield is awesome. I think it should be a bit longer in the front but that's just me. Anyway, I can't wait to see this baby armed and moduled.

That looks like something that would scare the bejesus out out of any fleet it comes across. I want to see it armed.

Looks like a giant spinning blade of death. 8)

It's nice, but it looks kind of... thrown together. I can't quite put my finger on what's wrong with it, though.
The shield is awesome.

The cross and shield look awesome. I like the support structure that spans across the back too.

Are you planning on putting some antenna arrays on it? I think some antennas would look good.

Cool! Are they like Missionaries? Spreading the Word of God across the galaxy? (Just asked because of the Crosses on them.)

Imagine a set of Medieval knight orders [the Templar and Teutons are only the ones big enough to have a whole fleets - smaller ones might own a few unique to them ships, and a few lend or given by the two big ones] moved into space, working as one Holy Alliance against the Pagan Union [a mix of slavic/asian other believers, that while the HA is strictly feudal, the PU is democratic].
The HA could actually vanquish the pagan nations, but under the truth is, that orders among the alliance more or less secretly fight against each other for wealth and power, thus most of the Templar/Teuton fleet is immobilised, and needed to guard the smaller Orders from starting a civil war. The last fact that gives the PU it's life, is that the Teuton and Templar Elder are non stop working on cleaver and well-hidden ways to make the other military powered order fall weak. There is also a heretic movement, that surprisingly is also fought by the PU.

Méééééh. Wrong answer. "Senéchal" is a French word.

The Senéchal looks like it's going to eat me. Nice work. Although the front seems a bit flat, you've really got something on your hands here.
