Tyrael's Stock Armory

Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

Tyrael's Stock Armory

Post by Tyrael »

Well I've decided to get off my fat lazy ass and redo the stock ships, since I've seen a lot of questions regarding whether there is a pack filled with stock ships. Anyways I will post the hulls here and whether enough people like I'll finish the pack with Pirates, Aliens, and anything in the game basically. First I'll just do pics to see if people think they're accurate enough.

Well these are the two previews I'm doing. They took a long time to finish, so I hope you like. If you do I'll make all the others stock ships as well. Hope to hear from you.

As for the ships, I feel like something is wrong with the Hectate, but I can't put my finger on it. Probably cuz I only ever use the Athena. Railgun broadsides FTW!

Yeh I think its because the Official Hecate hull has a space between the two parts where the weasal gun sits.

Being bored with nothing else to do with my life, I've finished the Eos Experimental Battleship. Comments?

I doubly object. I refuse to have anything to do with any kind of energy drink.

Also, HECATE YOU RETARD.

Maintain a list of ships in the first post and for the love of all that's unholy use the stock green colours. Dark grey/etc. looks retarded on the stock ships.

Argh almost to lazy to redo all the colors -.- fine. I'll be posting my first Pirate Cruiser shortly based on red colors mostly from memory. SO it won't be perfect recreate but i'll be red...it'll be pirate...

Argh its way to neon red...but its more for the design really, so yeh Pirate cruisers hows it look ppl?

color matters a great deal to visual perception, especially with a tiny picture like that one. I'd recolor it first, and avoid using predominantly a bright-popping color with a highlight of the darker color. It makes the darker red virtually disappear until you hunt for it. Rather, a good lighting strategy is picking a darker color for most of it, and a lighter color for highlights.

I'd recolor and repost, or your feedback is going to be "colored" by the bad paintjob, and you won't get the answers your looking for.

mmm, I really should just go in game and find out what colors go where but, having to set colors in the custom color box thing would be annoying and apparently they don't stay either. Since I only have a few kinds of red to work with. Though I'll try for a recolor now.

Also on another previous note, I would turn them green but I've no idea how to get back the original color since having changed the color ingame they changed in ship maker as well so -.-

customs stay if you use the ones provided by default. The bug, I understand, is if you try and remake a color using the chart instead. Besides, you've already used those on the darker red parts, so they must work for you.

I've not used the chart to color the red if thats what you've said, sorry its late and I'm tired so my mind isn't 100% ATM. I have set that most of my colors are grays, meaning when I started the game I went and changed that when given the option to in the first mission, can I go back to the first mission and will that then reset it to the default greens?

Just use the sidebar and save the colours.

On another note, if you don't want to have to work very hard, you could check out this topic. Even if you don't have the old shipmaker, I'm sure you can load the .shp files, and if you need the old shipmaker, you can find it here.

If you don't want to do it the easy way, that is of course fine.
