Okay, 1945. That isn't a ship. That's crap. People here at Wyrdysm are not much impressed by how much firepower it has compared to stock ships. We are impressed by aesthetics. If you want to know how to make (real) ships read this.

However, don't even attempt to copy thie ship used.
Then look at these for ideas on the design

Hey, All I was testing was if I could make a better scout than the ones in campaign. Sheesh. Besides, I got the game a week ago, and I've been lurking for 3 days so I'm just posting them in the order I made them in. I have better ones...
Doublette battle cruiser.
This was a weapons test. It's not modded much despite the fact the speed is the same as the previous ship.
The doublette battle cruiser is the second wave of the small assassians series. riddled with weak but persistant weapons, the Doublette battle cruiser is perfect at keeping the enemy occupied.
This was a modded weapons test:
Silium's flagship. (Fetas mark I)
Silium was a great leader who liked to be with his troops. in order to do that, he made a flagship. The Fetas is a ship that fights close range foes with a deadly lazer blast, and picks off the rest with a thin wall of blaster fire. the ship was renderd obsolete after it was nearly destroyed in the Assun shipyard raid, but the newer version was made less deadly.
And Bein, Stop trying to get me to that link, I'm still learning, not stupid.

You fail at linking, Bien. All those links go to the Good Shipbuilding Guide.bien4500 wrote:Okay, 1945. That isn't a ship. That's crap. Still the same topic which I have read.
An experiment with weapons added to looks. I got the desired effect, but the weapons were... a little too many.
This ship isn't part of a fleet, more like part of a branch of tests.
And If you don't like fire power then why all the FPS raping goliaths and juggernoughts?

People like making 1 turret do many things, then an absurd amount of turrets doing the same. It just clutters up the design and fucks everything up.Ninteen45 wrote: And If you don't like fire power then why all the FPS raping goliaths and juggernoughts?
I mean...
We at BlackRidge Pharmaceuticals believe that people do not like multiple turrets doing the job of one, as it is a sign of inefficiency, and also can negatively alter the design of an otherwise good product.

That's because it's then justified to give these ships a considerable amount of firepower in relation to your size. And yes, so what if FPS gets raped? It's normal.Ninteen45 wrote:And If you don't like fire power then why all the FPS raping goliaths and juggernoughts?
1945, I can't help but shake my head at the ships you're churning out.

There's a difference between a ship that has lots of tastefully aligned sections and one that has weapons on every square inch. Seriously, BSF ships don't lend themselves to tons of weaponry in a very small space. It just means that any nice hull design vanishes under a mound of turrets, especially when you're making a ship closer to stock, such as yours.
I have to kill fast and bullets are too slow.
They never raped my FPS on the 845G. Some like to build big, others like to do it so that they can use let's say curves, and some like me, like to make big ships just for the fun of it. And like me some also make them so that we can put many weapons, and it won't be that cluttered compared to smaller ships with the same amount. Some also like to experiment with different patterns of sections that would only become evident when the ship becomes bigger. Not all my ships are large, I have posted some smaller ships, and I am making a few more.
PS. I have a solution to your weapon spam problem, set let's say Clip Size to 4 (Or burst, but that would make a shotgun) on a blaster, and voila! A blaster that does the job of four.

Then the only solution is to make the turrets part of the design.
Bein: Thank you. I'm gonna have to test that out now!
I'm going to sacrifice my remaining dignity to say this but:you sure you read it? i mean, repeating over and over to make wings is all good and all, but when it's (for all intents and purposes) your whole ship?
Really, I'm all about getting rid of repitition but it depends of how you place it. When people begin screaming OMFG REPETITION at the first hint of more than one panel being the same, people get angry.Countless People wrote:ZOMG MORE THAN ONE PART IS THE SAME RUN AWAY!!!!11!!!1!!!1eleven!!
