Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

Do you mean the periods? I can't think of any other way to space out the pics and captions, it edits out chunks of whitespace.

Updates coming after the weekend. Now's a good time to give suggestions.

-Possible replacement of section 13 on first fleet, if everybody thinks that's a good idea

-Backstory for CDFS

-Civilian ships

-A bit more for the CDFS (weapons for the Histrocranith+that half built ship)

Thanks for feedback!

UPDATE TIME:

We've had way less time than anticipated to work on this, but here's some new stuff. The Nintorith Watchman, Civilians, and a comparison of a possible change to the COFS fleet with the old + download for it all:

So, how do the new ships look, and should all the COFS ships switch like the above Main-of-Battle?

The beamers don't seem centered in the second pic. Anyway, I like the first one more but that's just me. Wait till other people comment to decide.

The beamers can't be exactly centered unless the mount they are on is widened by one pixel. Anyways, which mount do people prefer? Am I going to have to make a poll to get any feedback?

Just change the y values by .5 in the edit bar. Although it's annoying to do, it fixes the problem of trying to center weapons properly.

Well, it would be nice if people gave a bit more feedback, but until that comes in, he tried making something completely different, trying out modded weapons. My only idea was the booster trick.

Hidden Revelation

Don't have time to put pics up now, but it has a gosling launcher where the shots turn invisible and then reappear latter, some weird no-damage beams meant to hide said gosling shots, and a booster which does something really cool (I'll post about it in the Novelty Weapons Thread soon). Is this interesting? Ideas?

Uh, you can just generate one with shipbuilder. But I'll give you a link:

Link to .shp

Basically everything is modded. Unfortunately, it seems deflector max energy and drain rate can't be changed, and gosling max energy too (although that's surmountable, of course). Does anyone know why? And the dietering device is supposed to be for pushing other ships strongly away, but it's not working either. Weird.

Mega Update! It took a long time, but he finally finished the enemy, some write-ups, and started his encounter campaign (more on that once it gets posted). Enjoy, and comment. Please!

First of all, Swastika station?

Second of all, when are you going to post your own ships?

@LOLWUT swasikas!!!
Well, all the stations use 90 degree rotational symmetry, and there is only so many shapes that can take, although I can see how they look a bit like that. Anyways, it is not intentional, so...
Actually, the most swastika-ish station has been there for months...

@Commodore111
I'm a bit picky with my ships, and I'm waiting until I get my ships to a point where I think they're unique and neat enough to post. Also, I'm working on a big project that takes a while, but should be cool when I can post it.

If anybody wants to test the Junker ships verses the CFS ships, it would help my brother to get balance suggestions for his encounters.
