The Archangel MK3..not exactly too balanced

I've always intended to reduce the HP by about a hundred or so, I just kept forgetting.
Anyway, here's a shot with the stats so you can read for yourself - I changed the backstory because I don't think there's a need for the Thanatos, unless th15 wants a ship with as much heavy rearward firepower as forward firepower.

My own little fleet:

RETRIBUTION:
Heavy Destroyer - all forward fixed firepower (just 10° FOF).. Lot's of it. No deflectors, nothing to protect it's rear or sides.
GALAXY:
Support Carrier - lacks firepower, but has decent point defense and an Nano Matrix to boot
ARCHANGEL MK3:
Heavy Battleship.. VERY heavy battelship. VERY hard to kill. 6 deflectors 4 GatBlasters, 5 Plasma Cannons, 1 Booster + a score of light defense weaponry.
NAREOS:
Heavy Military installation - comes with 2 GatBlasters, Gluon Bolter and Nano Matrix + poit defense weapons & Demeter launchers.
Doesn't work properly as it doesn't behavelike a station...

These are my two design concepts for a version of the alien dreadnought (known also as a #19) that does not use any Terran sections. As you can see, my version uses the same basic hull layout and a similar number of sections to the current 'Terran' version....
Here is the original design. In case you're wondering what the pusle guns are there for, they're just to represent the dread's sidewinders, which are not currently avaliable in the ship maker.

I found the biggest problem with the above design was with the position of the side defelcted sections, where were kind of superfluous where they were, particularly with how hte nose sections flanged out like they do...
So, I redid it somewhat... I think this version's a lot better...

Rhino - Battleship


Hull: 500
Speed: 1.10
Turning: .45
Accel: slow
2 gatling blasters
6 Lasers
2 scatter lasers
2 Point Masers
2 Deflectors
This is a strong battleship that shines when attacked from both flanks, however the short sections that compose the hull means its easy to overwhelm the 2 deflectors. Also the only Point Defense is in the rear meaning plasma will be very effective.
Bulldog - (Assault) Destroyer


Hull: 400
Speed: 1.60
Turning: 0.50
Accel: low
8 blasters
2 scatter lasers
One of the heavier destroyers, its slow and tough and puts out a large amount of blaster fire per volley. However its lack of any active defense means it will not withstand prolonged pounding to its hull.
The Wall (working name) - Defensive Destroyer


Hull: 200
Speed: 1.50
Turning: 0.15
Accel: med
2 Point Masers
6 Ageis Deflectors
Plain and simple, this ship is meant to soak up large amounts of fire from one direction. Its rather limited, the turn speed is slow and the deflectors are very exposed from the rear, taking out one spot will take out 2 sections of shielding.
Turtle - Defensive Destroyer


Hull: 200
Speed: 3.00
Turning: 0.75
Accel: med
2 Point Masers
6 Aegis Deflectors
The little brother/sister to the wall. It is a more compact design so it is able to survive better, however the area protected is a lot smaller, I would think the main use would be to protect civilian targets or the flanks of battleships.
Valkryie - Light Destroyer


Hull: 250
Speed: 4.20
Turning: 0.90
Accel: med
2 Gatling Pulses
2 Mining Lasers
4 Scatter Lasers
One of my favorite looking ships, the Valkyrie is a quick strike destroyer. The main strength is its speed, its able to get in quickly and do large amounts of damage, however one on one it will take large amounts of damage. Its main use is to flank enemy dreadnaughts and take out the deflectors quickly.
Unnamed Patrol Craft - Patrol Craft


Hull: 175
Speed: 7
Turning: 3
Accel: Fast
2 Plasmas
Still undergoing some tweaking, mainly to be used as a torpedo bomber

This is a little something I call the Olympus. It's meant to be as overpowered while still maintaining some plausibility as possible. It's more meant as a personal exercise than a serious attempt at a ship:

right next to a Hecate for comparison.
This is actually the second version, the first version got lost when the shipmaker crashed just when I was finished and putting in the stats; this version is bigger anyway, so I'm not concerned.

oooohhhh.. pretty.. I like ti...alltough oyu might be overdoing it with the boosters

While I've been having fun with making lots of ships, I thought I'd show off the biggest ones I've made. They're lots of fun to mess with since battles with a few can kill framerates and take ten minutes.
