The Chain Ship Project

Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

OI VEY. Did you people take it as a personal vendetta to make it absolutely impossible to parent weapons correctly? Yeesh. Not to mention that the whole ship is a bonified lag induction engine, making it next to impossible to test weapons.

I've done some garbage cleanup and reparenting to make the thing a little less . . . retarded.

So far:

4x armor piercing rounds (epic battles)
4x minelayers (a new use for demeters)
4x plasma blade uber cannon things of doom (anybody remember the "lightspeed cannon"?)
2x traitor devices (mtheminja makes mega mutilator machines)
2x precision lawn mowers (anybody remember the Unrelenting Sarcasm?)

Just to let you know that, yes, I'm working on it.

And if you want to know what a "precision lawn mower" is on a titan ship, you'll have to wait and find out.

[Edit:] Actually, since I'm cool like that, here's a teaser:

Oh. Minja made it sound like I was up next. Also . . . was the order switched, or am I blind? I had originally thought I was up next.

ANYWAY. No biggie. The weapons are easily R/Eed over to a new ship. I will, however, continue testing on this one. Pardon my interruption.

Onward with your colors, then.

Lizzie, be warned. While I've been making my variant, colouring has been nothing short of a nightmare. There are pieces everywhere, and selecting some of them has been nigh impossible. And mine's only just 200 sections. Be preapred to do a lot of frustrating shift-shifting to get those ones you just can't reach.

That's the thing. Even that wasn't enough.

It's not that difficult. Did you use mtheminja's fixed version, or the older, more messed up version? The newer one is probably easier, although I worked off the old one.

I was using the older one. You're right, there's probably something I'm missing or not doing right.

For starters you can use the edit menu to change the colour if you can't get a right click on the section you want. ;)

Ed: I mean the edit menu on the top bar, not the edit menu that's used for changing weapon and module stats.

That's true. The trouble I had was selecting the piece I wanted in the first place. In some places it was three, sometimes four levels thick!

Lizzie is Coloring now, right?

If that's the case then good. Let's finish this so I can victory dance!

I think I'm finished now. Currently Dubbed the Discordia Class Dreadnought, Till I think of something other that Discordia.

Note the Railgun/TachDriver in the center move jointly. But only the Railgun fires.
