New Valdemorbus Ship

Post by Blackhart »

Hey guys, im back with some more ships for my new faction, "The Holy Order of the Broken Light." But first some back story.

---ACCESING NEW ORDER DATA---

---PROSSECING---

---OPENING DATA FILE---

Subject: The Holy Order of the Broken Light
Sender: Lordmaster Talon Kaar
Addressed to: The Grand Echmos of the New Order
Data Entry Date: 3510/27/2 AU
Extra Info: This letter is addressed to the Grand Echmos of the New Order and is for his eyes only! Any one other than high ranking officials that are in possession of this information will be executed on sight.

A relatively new presence in our galaxy, their soul intent seems to convert other civilizations into their order by any means necessary, much like out intent to unify this galaxy. Their exact origins are unknown, but they are believed to have very unhealthy relationship with another highly advanced civilization known as the Kraetoe Machina Union (KMU), which have also established themselves as a known presence in our galaxy. Ever since the Broken Light established a foothold in out galaxy, KMU activity has risen significantly. In fact the KMU have launched attacks upon the Broken Light ever since their presence was established. Many KMU ships have been spotted "cutting across" our and GUP territory to reach the area controlled by the Broken Light. Many of our spys have been diverted from GUP territory to observe these battles between the KMU and Broken Light so that we may analyze the technological capabilities of both civilizations.

So far, we have gathered that both the KMU and Broken light posses similar technology, but differ in their use of weaponry. The Broken Light seem to use a mix of high tech and modified outdated weaponry, even by our technological standards the weaponry seems outdated. However, their modifications to this weaponry have increased their efficiency significantly. How they did this is still a mystery, but if we can find out how they increased the power of these weapons if can greatly benefit our cause. As for the KMU, they still use an advanced form of spacial distortion weaponry that is far beyond our technological capability. What still surprises is that the Broken Light's weaponry seems to be very effective in repelling the KMU attacks, a astounding feet really, for our recent attacks on the KMU were highly ineffective as you might already know...

The Broken Light have already converted 3 of our outer rim systems and 2 of the GUP systems as well, but they are likely to convert more our the GUP systems due to their close proximity to their territory. I believe it is in the best interests to keep this information about the Broken Light top secret and that we don't reveal it to the general public, for the fear that some might convert.

In any case, with your permission I would advise that we continue observing the battles between the KMU and the Broken light so that we might gather more information about them both. I've attached another data file to this message that will list all the information that we have gathered about the Broken Light's ships.

I dunno what to think about the fighter. Its... bad...ish? I can't tell. Lose the section 9's entirely. Also, you forgot one of the blue section 9's on the section 17.

The frigate's hind section is a bit messy. Clean it up a bit.

The carrier is nice, but overall, that engine color sickens me. It looks like the ships run on puke. Change the color a bit.

That last ship was wayyyy improved, from comparing the pictures.

You may go somewhere with this, but my biggest gripe is with the engine color. Replace it with some tiny DooNoises (I love those, you can widen them out a bit) and aegis them.

Some others may have better suggestions, though.

Hey guys, back with update.

I fixed up the back of the frigate and changed the design of the interceptor. I also changed the engine light to a light blue colour.

C&C is appreciated as always.

all things considered, these ships are OK, but they do still have a few rough edges.

I'd suggest either shrinking the core on that interceptor, or just ditching that core all together and using the civilian core. Other than that, I think at that size, detail wouldn't matter much, so It's good excluding the core.

As for the second ship, it could use a little more with the coloring (maybe 3 rather than 2 shades), and those pointy wings seem to clash with the rest of the ship.

As for the carrier, I like the front, but the back sort of clashes with it, being all curvy and what not. Also, the engine looks sort of tiny for such a large ship. It probably need 2 engines, or to make that one bigger. For this ship, like the cruiser, you should consider supporting the layering effect you have going with shading as well.

Good work. I look forward to updates and I hope you continue this fleet.

Horray for updates!!

Anyway I fixed up the fighter core, and added some more colouring to the ships to give them more depth. I also increased the size of the engines on the Malus and the Mangus.

Here are the results:

Im kind of focused on continuing my new faction rather improving my older ships. But I have gotten around to improving the frigate class ship.
It still needs some work in regards to colouring, engines, etc....
But here it is anyway:

I'm planning to start building the battlecruiser and destroyer class for my new faction, but ill still take any constructive criticisms you have on my current ships. :)

Well, time for another update to my new faction.

I know I said I was gona build a destroyer class or a battlecruiser class, but I was kind of of in the zone when I started building them. So I went along and built a Dreadnaught :P

The Dormin Super Dreadnaught

Here is a size compairison with a cronus and a couple of my other dreads:

Im experimenting with some weapons that would go well with the ship, so if you have any sudgestions that would be great.

Constructive criticism is welcome :)

Very well done. The weapons fit very nicely into their places, they're not just scattered aimlessly.

I finaly finished the battlecruiser, and here it is!

The Argus battlecruiser class ship

Comments and criticisms on the ship is appreciated.

I also made some modifications on the Dormin.

I pretty much just added some weapons and a few sections on the back of the ship. Also added some ageis sections on the back wings for a sort of warp core look. So please, tell me what you think? Good or bad?

I love the use of 15s on your alien faction.
The Dormin is awesome looking. Seems like it curves pretty steeply up to a command deck. At first I didn't like the shape of your battle cruiser but with the aegis and kick ass engines, it works. I might have curved those wings inward somewhat but I think it would kill the rest of your design.
