Note the caveat. Kind of.

Commodore111, you are BLIND. No, seriously. Allow me to quote it:

--Aesthetics [5/10]

...Did you seriously just go the noob route and encase your core in Aegis? While it makes for a nice glowy effect... I don't know. You lost a lot of points for that. And I was liking the hullforms of your Antiproton too.

--Originality [4/10]

While these are moderately original ships, I'm taking off of your personal originality for making these things just steps up from the previous model, all the way through. It's rather lazy, really. Take a look at SWS' lazy shipbuilding, he does it correctly.

--Creativity [3/10]

Eh. Your ships are nice in application, but you lose points again for copypasting and aegising. Nothing outstanding with your application either.

--Functionality [4/5]

Well, they do emulate the style the 4th Generation Aralonian Navy does, which is forward assault and protection of systems by putting as much between the core and the enemy as possible. Good marks.

--Backstory [1/5]

Weaaaaak. Too weak.

And no I'm not blind, it's not appearing.

EDIT: Must I post an image for you to understand?

Then it should have been obvious that A) the problem was not restricted to your fleet and B) others saw everything fine, so it wasn't an issue of Ara's forgetfulness.

Perhaps something like "The fleets page isn't showing correctly for me, and is missing the majority of the text. Is this issue happening for anyone else?" would have been just a little more accurate.

Your form of lobbying a complaint strikes me as the thought process of a seriously dense person.

Anty and Lizzie are both hereby disqualified, for making a complete clusterfuck out of the thread. Ara's judging is being ignored, because it was submitted more than 24 hours after the deadline, following two extensions, and only loosely follows the judging guidelines.

The totals will be posted up sometime later today. Thank you for your patience.

It appears that you have to view Aralonia's site with Firefox. Looking at the fleet page with IE only shows the Ixian and part of the Synapse ratings.

Fixed.

And no one should be using IE in the first place.

True, just managed to look at my rating. I laughed at the "penisbricks" comment, I just thought that was a funny way of putting the appearance of the designs.

It's an old standby term for the description of mine and Arcalane's ships. Yours are... penisbricks with... ...attachments...

I'm more than a little offended by even the implication that any of the judges would score 'popular' ship designs better. I took my job to be scoring ships based on the merits of the design itself as determined by the scoring categories. How popular a ship was or what ANY other judge said had absolutely no bearing on how I judged any ship, and it should not have. This is not a fucking concensus about who's the best, nor is it ever going to be a popularity contest. At least, not while I'm judging.

Never say that shit again.

I'm sorry that I offended you, and also that you completely misinterpreted my comment. Or the use of the word 'popular', not sure which. To loosely quote SWS, this is a forum based on merit, so whats 'popular' is your definition of whats good, which in this case is based on the judging criteria. And you may not have been reading other judge's comments but I was and several were consistent in their conclusions.

To put it even more simply, several ships which I thought quite good were consistently deemed unsightly or nonfunctional by experts such as yourself. I therefore was thanking the judges for giving me a better idea of what styles work to achieve both quality looks and functional designs, presumably the purpose of the BP. I took away a lot from the comments of all the judges together.

Could have done with a little less attitude though. Yes, a contest with a eventual winner determined by multiple judges is a consensus. It is a popularity contest, but among the qualified experts based on who best met the specified criteria, not the masses talking out their asses. If a vet comes in and builds something passable but far below their known skill, then it is about who built it.

Still, I didn't say any of those things, nor were they my point. Please don't take a single general and innocently worded one sentence comment and come at me with those accusations. I have the utmost respect for all the judges, and you in particular, otherwise I would not have bothered to respond.
