Small-time Lurker wants ship criticisms

Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

Wow, that looks much better, actually. The front end looks much cleaner. now. Nice job!

In my last Post I said the shield looked good enough but this is way better. The spikey sections aid in giving this ship an alien look. And for weaponary; the dementers aren't spammy because there aren't much other weapons and because they are all on the same piece(funarable) they can be taken out in a few shots. Overall this ship keeps on getting better. Now move on to the next!

Alright, rather then make a whole new thread for the next set of ships, I'll just put them here:

(Edit 1: Gah! I meant to hit preview to check the image link, not post! Finishing post now.....)

Top ship: Broodling

Mid Ship: Burrower

(I've named my first ship the Matriarch, in case anyone cares?)

They're pretty straightforward: one's a missile ship, the other sports three railguns and a pair of flak turrets. Which means the aesthetics are what I'm really concerned about.

Nice work on these two. The shapes formed are pretty cool, I like the fusion of terran and alien styles. And nice depth effects as well. Very good job!

Nice ships, and they seem fairly well balanced, but, frankly, they look like they've been hastily cobbled together in some places, mostly the struts leading to the aegis'd front, which was fixed very nicely and looks quire good now. Otherwise, the demeter spam on the main carrier ship is okay because of the size of the ship and because it seems to be its job. I also like the center cores of the ships; they look flow-y and human-ship like, and it makes a neat effect when surrounded by alien stuff.
