How do people get these sprites to transform? or do they make it look like it does?

Moving sprites are actually .gif files. Images that are actually composed of several frames, but can be used as sprites, uploaded on image hosting sites...see them as dynamic pictures, that constantly repeat a set of images.

I got the lightning to appear in the SM but when I goto sandbox they don't show up.
I copied them into the doodad folder and added the enteries in the smsprites.ini
Is there something else I need to do?
