Need to learn the basics

Post by Wizardunic »

Meh, sorry for all the nooby questions. But I've been using BSF for a while now. I've only created ships using the sprites BSF provides. I'd like to know how to make my own sections. And how to make my own turrets, and bullet sprites. I don't explore much in the computer, its not my field of knowledge.

Then I advise you to build ships with the normal sprites and start looking into the entire spriting thing first.

A suggestion: You need to be very specific in the questions you ask, otherwise you come across as too lazy to look at the plethra of guides, documentation, and examples.

You want to create custom sprites? Have you looked at what other people have done? There are several guidelines on how a sprite needs to be drawn, especially for a weapon. You need a program like Photoshop for most of the fancy stuff, or at the very least, Paint. Also some familiarity with that program helps, but you would be better to keep all your questions in one thread if your going to be asking alot of them, which you will.

My advice is to open a sprite and try editing it, then come back here and ask specific questions, or find out why something isn't working.
